Finally got work done

I got what you're saying jon. I think dual tips looks good. The new xD has a body kid that comes with a "ghost" tip.
If you don't want to lose MPG and don't want the sound to change, then a tip that is NOT connected to your exhaust is the way to go. It's just for looks.
I'm still a little confused. Did they run pipe from your muffler to the tip, or is it really just a tip?
Also, no offense, but I'd be REALLY REALLY sure of what the heck someone is doing to my car before hand.
1. You're paying THEM.
2. Their work could void the warranty. The fake tip won't.

gotchya. I'd leave it, but make sure there aren't any leaks to the weld job they did. Or if you don't like it make sure they seal it COMPLETELY. Any leaks could lead to extra rust/corrosion, and since it was a mod to part of the working exhaust, it might void the warranty. But always remember you don't have to DISCLOSE anything to a dealer that you have done. If they find it, then you have to tell them. At the same time, if you jack something up on your car, don't expect them to pay for it.
