Maybe somone will know this: can we only use XM radio on our head units or can we also use Sirius?

 

1. Enter the "Make LKA" task.
2. Open 2 LKD files containing background pictures (BGPs).
3. Select the 1st BGP.
4. Click the down arrow.
5. Select the 2nd BGP.
6. Click the down arrow.

Both pictures will show up in BGP slots on the bottom of the panel. Then click "Write LKA File" and it will generate the LKA.

So did we come to the conclusion that you can only load one movie/animation/pic at a time per disc?

 

Well, when you go to make the lka file, it only allows 1 movie, 1 BGV and 2 BGP. I assume that means they are limiting you to that amount. Kind of stinks. I thought personalization is what it was all about. Guess you just have to burn several discs and then just load the one you're in the mood for.

 

The head unit only has slots for one movie, one BGV and 2 pictures. If you could burn more than that on a CD there wouldn't be any place to put the extra ones.

I bought an '08 premium radio on ebay, going to install it in my 1st gen xB as soon as it arrives.

 

You're welcome and congrats on getting the new radio. I like the icons to be placed on the left because there isn't usually much going on over there. Depending on if you're listening to an iPod or the radio, text can go on top of the icon if it is in the center. You can go to the link below to see a sample of it centered and on the left. I see what you're saying about the left side being less "busy".

 

If the graphic is in the center, does the display overlay song/station/etc. info over the top of it?

 

The head unit doesn't do anything different based on the background picture or video. It always puts the same stuff in the same place. Its fonts have borders, so they will show up on top of anything, but it can look very busy.
