Default How do I install a 4 channel loc?

Hi,

I was wondering how would I install a 4-channel LOC with my 2009 xB's factory HU? I'm really confused about what wires go where. Couldn't find much about it with search.

Basically, you need to tap into the signal thats going to the speakers. If you go from behind the HU, you can cut/tap into each wire (Pos/Neg for Right Front, Right Rear, Left Front, Left Rear, eight wires in total) and feed them into the LOC. Then the LOC will turn these into a RCA output. Dont forget to disable ASL on the HU. :]

Why disable ASL?

It makes the volume go up and down as you speed up/slow down, and this makes it impossible to set the gains on your LOC/amp to a point where you will get maximum power and no clipping.
