My 3 Tone Rumion..
#21
Nice post. You wouldn't get this in an U.S. 1st gen scion xb forum. There used to be hatred of the second gen xb by the first gen owners who all touted that its not a real xb and scion f***ed up by releasing it. That was one of the reasons I stopped coming to ScionLife and stuck to my scikotics forums. Now that I am visiting ScionLife again after a year it seems to have died off.
Went to a Club XB meet in the Smokies in April and people said the 2nd gens being there ruined their meet. I wonder if this happens everytime a manufacturer releases a new body style?

good idea to have different style and sizes cater for different need and life style. As long as it is boxy, I'm alright. Look at the other gigantic xb1 / bB I have. If this car sell in US, it will create a great impact in sure.

Too sleek to be in my boxy wish list. Honda Elysion will be my next ride. A gigantic xD. Or Toyota Vellfire.

Wonder why these manufacturer don't market these Big Boxes ride to US.
As they are ultra spacious, super low fuel consumption and very very comfortable to drive.
Since American have bigger build than the Asian.

Hi, trevors! I think it absolutely not a problem for having a bB emblem on your xB2 as the xb or bB is actually originnated from the xb1/bB. They are all from the same family. In my country, there are only 3 Xb/rumion registed on the road. And i belong to the toyota bB/ daihatsu materia club. In asia toyota bB is known as the japan bB and the toyota rumion (scion xB) known as american bB. For your info, the toyota bB has been marketed as different name by different made. Such as subaru (dex), daihatsu (coo for japan) (materia for europe and other asian country). They all wearing different badges which made they belong. As for my rumion, im having the toyota corolla's badge in front, toyota logo on the steering and scion's emblem on the rear gate.

Instead of the xB2 being a "sell out" as per many original xB owners, it looks to me it's carrying the torch high -- the styling is significantly similar to the Japanese bB.
Thanks Dude !

Don mention! Do what you think you should do to make you feel happy. Its your ride after all. I really wonder how does it feel with a 2.4L engine on my Rumion.
Can only dream, cause there will not be any of this model in Asia. The biggest capacity available is only 1.8L dual VVT-I.

The xB1 does pretty well with its 1.5L 1NZ-FE (not gutsy, but lots of fun ), and after making just a few minor mods to my xB2 2.4L 2AZ-FE,
I find it has way more than adequate power for the 600 pound increase in vehicle weight (easily shuts down my Eclipse GSX with the Turbo disabled).
Given the cost trajectory of gasoline in our world, I find the 1.8L a very interesting alternative.
IMO -- It'll also be interesting to see what the affect is of the exhaust cams becoming variable as well - I understand that's just starting to appear on certain Toyotas.

Base price around $33,000 USD, Luxury model about $45,000 USD.
A little out of my budget, but one amazing vehicle (an impressive ad as well )!
