Default my first scion! (w/ pics of course)

hey guys,
im new to this forum and brand and i just picked up my first scion - 08 Xb! test drove this baby in San D and loved it. perfect for my daily. i also have a e92 335 coupe which i love but i need a daily driver and this car is by far the best in its class! just picked her up today and i already have some HID's on route as well as a AVIC-D3. damn mod bug.

its funny how similar BMW people and Scion people are, regarding having a passion for their cars. and their passion to hate on new models also man when the new coupes came out for BMW the people (with the older generation) hated on the cars and it the same here with the 2xb. anyhow here are the pics:

08 Xb

alarm
interior lights

Looks great! Here I thought I'd be the first in San Diego with a black one, heh. Maybe I'll be the first black xb2 owner with Manual trans then.Good times though, and if I must ask, did you lose your wheel covers in a controlled slide exiting the 163 to the 8?

Congrats and Welcome. Not all 1st Gen owners hate 2nd Gen. Both have it's good and unfortunately bad qualities. At first I didnt really like how it looked but it's beginning to grow on to me. So Congrats and keep us posted if you're making any Mods. I would like to see this car in action.

And one more thing.. whatever anyone says about your car... screw it.. they're not the ones drivin' it.. that's what unite us xB owners. Because we didn't care what people think and that's why we bought our toasters to begin with

And if I may ask. how many cup holders does it have? Picnic area like the 1st Gen?

no haha. i got the Xb from clearmont scion. not clearmont mesa just clearmont. i used to live in SD (went to SDSU) and i just got back to the good 'ol *cough* IE *cough* and the dleaer didnt get their hub caps yet but thats fine because im kinda digging the black steelies.

FYI there are two cup holers in a row in between the center console and the shifter (w/ the LED's in the cup holder also) and theres one in each door and there are the two cup holers in the rear doors as well as a lil thingy that pops out the rear of the center console for two more cups. so you wont go thirsty in this ride.

the car rides smooth. i dont have much to compare it as far as scions go, but the car feels "solid." even the door have a nice sound when you close them. driving on the freeway felt quick enough and comfortable. and during quick turn-ins the car feels substantial but it feel composed coming out the corner.

couple cons though:
1. i wish the seats have more ways to configure to find the right spot. i mean its comfortable but a few more options would of been nice (as well as power seats and memory but its a entry level car)

2. the arm rests, or the lack there of. the front passanger should have one and the drivers side is too short and skinny. hopefully aftermarket can fix this. and it would of been nice if the rear seats had the arm rest also.

but overall the car is very comfortable and the utility aspect is amazing. theres storage everywhere (cool storage slots unerneath the rear seats) and the std equipment you get for the price is bar none the best deal.

i just got my HID kit in today and im expecting the AVIC D3 tom. and hopefully i can get my hands on some body kit and some wheels as well and of course it getting a drop. damn this car is cool. so many things to mod it to make it just right for you.
