Yes the paint is thin. Yes the interior is plastic. Yes the car only has one 12V plug in. Yes the rear has only one interior light. Yes the car even has one arm rest. Scion is built to introduce you to quality that Toyota can provide. Some post are carrying on like you wanted Lexus quality for a Scion price. Sorry, but it aint gonna happen.

The blind spot issue ... regardless how may mirrors you install ( stock and the little stick on bug eyes you get from PepBoys ) you are still going to have blind spots. Cause you dont have eyes on the sides of your head, and as long as there are A .. B .. C ... and D pillars you will have blind spots.

The back up lighting issue ... DOT had to inspect and pass these cars before they ever hit the assembly lines in Japan. The same DOT that stopped the Open Deck from coming here for safty issues. 1 .. i think to post here about the DANGERS and the SAFETY ISSUES suggesting RECALLS and CLASS ACTION LAW SUITS and lets not forget DEATH is just absurd. 2, to post it here im sure only makes the people at Scion Corp chuckle. You bought the car .. you should have looked over the car, test drove it and made your final decision under no duress. Unless the dealer put a gun to your head you could have just walked away from the sale. Even if it was over the single back up light on the drivers side ( see above about passing DOT ).
WELL said! I love the people who are comparing the scions to mercedes hehe.

Yep, I have driven everything from a Ford to a Jaguar to a Porsche to a "you name it" and they ALL had areas that I would have liked better if they were different.

There is NO such thing as a "perfect car" as in there are no perfect things I know of, at least not at this point in time.

For those that are really, really upset with the xB(2), they can run out and buy a Maybach and see how they like that. Better take along $400 k, too, so they can drive it home. Then the Maybach forums will be hearing complaints about getting rear-ended, bad MPG, etc.

IOW, lighten up guys, its a neat car, especially when you consider the price / amenity ratio.

Is this for real? Automatic wipers? Automatic headlights? DRLs? And what's with the complaint about the 5-speed? The xB has always been about simplicity, and although the new one has somewhat strayed from that idea, it's still an economy car. It's disappointing enough that Toyota decided to make the xB bigger and heavier, almost to the point that it's become a Matrix alternative. Sure, Toyota could dump accessories into the xB and make it a $20k car, but there's a big difference between what is offered at $15k and what is offered at $20k and I doubt that the xB could cut it in that category.

This is not intended to become a b!tch fest just an offering to scion to eyeball small suttle changes into future xB's I can remember when there was gen 1 initally rolling out everyone _____ed about the HU and the seat fabric and scion made changes to that....we are just giving scion heads up on the xB2 overall IT IS A GREAT CAR AND WORTH GIVING UP MY GEN 1.....granted the lawsuits and stuff is overboard a car company that is willing to "listen" to their market should be informed....

And with a title like set of complaints if it will offend you don't enter....
