Default Need opinions on tint

Hey guys,

I am looking to do tint in the next few weeks on my BSP. Now, I want to stay legal by all means, and would really like the tint to basically make it a tad darker and stop it from heating up so fast when the AC is off... haha

Now, for Ohio we can go any % on the back windows, and 50% up front.

I was thinking of maybe doing 20% on the rear windows, 35% on the drivers and passenger, and 50% on the windshield.

How would this look do you think? I know 35% would be illegal for my windows, but compared to the back it probably won't look all that dark and probably not get too many problems id imagine.

If anybody has pics of their tint and can share what percentages they did. I dont want to go LIMO or anything on the rear (I drive a lot at night!) and really need to see still.. Just want a little more privacy!

Thanks!

If you do the windshield, it will make the whole car look VERY dark. Please note that this is VERY illegal, too. Cops can technically tow your car if your windshield is tinted.

In ohio it's allowed up to 50%, no darker. It wouldn't be that dark...

I have 35% on the front and it matches the stock tint on the rears. 20% on the rears, 35% on the fronts and 50% on the windshield is gonna make the whole car look VERY dark. any tint at all on the windshield will hake the whole car look alot darker because there will be less light inside the cabin to illuninate the darker side windows. The law for the windshield in Ohio is the top 5" only.

I did 20% all around and it came out very nice. The rears are never going to match the fronts perfectly b/c of the reflective qualities of the privacy glass in the rears. Just not the same so don't try. Just make sure the rears are darker than the fronts.

you may not be able to match it perfect but you can come pretty darn close

That looks very dark. I'd be afraid of getting a ticket with windows that dark. What's it like driving at night with them that dark? 35% on the front is not a perfect match but it's pretty darn close. I definitely don't prefer the look of the fronts and backs being a different tint. Dark tint does look especially good on black or white cars. It really calls attention on white though.

The limit on front windows in SC is 27% so I'm pretty sure they used 35% tint on the front to get a combined level of 27%. I had them put 10% on the rears to keep my belongings private and still be able to see pretty well. I just had 50% put on the windshield to keep heat and UV out and it's really not bad. The car is barely darker at all and I've passed many of our state and local police and they haven't given me a second glance. Having the windshield done is wonderful for driving. I can tell a huge difference in the level of heat. The brightness of the sun, white overcast days, headlights, and reflections is reduced so it makes driving a lot easier on the eyes and in that respect safer.

I haven't taken any pics since I had the windshield done with all the windows up. I'll try and rememeber to take some this weekend. The bottom pic has the windshield tinted but all the windows are down. It does illustrate just how light 50% is.
