Default Outside fresh air blows hot after driving

One thing that I noticed is that after driving for just a while, the outside air blows hot from the vents. I have it turned all the way to cool, but still hot.

I don't think you should have to turn on the AC in 75-85 weather.

The fresh air intake somehow is getting the heated air off the engine...

anyone else find this true or know of a fix.

maybe your vent selector isn't working and is stuck on the "hot" setting.

when you turn the "hot/cold" ****, do u hear a mechanical noise that sounds like a valve switching over or something?

I've never had a car that didn't warm the air when coming in through the vents.

Yes, but some cars warm the air more than others. Exactly how warm are we talking here?

I SEE WHY NOW.....

I have the cowl torn apart now doing my TRD lowing springs and the intake is just below the firewall.

I am going to insulate it if I can with foil tape. see if it works

My xA is the same way. Of the 12-15 vehicles I've owned this is the only one that heats up the outside air to the extent that it does. Unless it's 75 or lower the AC has to be on or the windows down. It's my biggest complaint so far and if it remains that way I will be a happy camper, in other words I can live with it.

After seeing where the fresh air enters the inside, you will know why. I insulated the intake today as much as I could and it cut it in half. I am ordering some thermal insulation stuff and doing it again next week.
