Default Problems....

So I am having to issues with my with my 08. I am looking for ideas as to what it might be. It's been to the dealer and of course.... they couldn't duplicate the problem.

1st issue. When backing out of the driveway and turning the wheels to the right, there is a loud pop from the right rear of the car. I have been under there and checked everything. It's all tight. No signs of wear anywhere. I mean I have checked it all.

2nd issue. Pull in the driveway. Come to a stop. Shut the car off. Release the brake pedal and the rear brakes makes a popping sound. More of a ding. Kinda like the old drum break pads being loose sound.

Any help and or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

someone posted a bit ealier about a popping noise with the brakes it has something to do with over greased pins. doesn't happen everytime. but from the person who posted it her husband fixed it.

you will have to excuse someof the people on here. they probably had long and hard days and blow off some steam. learn to take people with a grian of salt. it helps a lot.

Exactly how useful was your post? Not very useful at all.
In regards to the question at hand, perhaps take it to another dealership and see if they have better luck replicating the issue. Otherwise you shall have to wait until it is not so intermittent.
Just out of curiousity, how steep is your driveway?

We have this discussion going in the gen 2 drive train and power. It happens pulling in and out of driveways, going over speed humps, hitting holes hard. And it's only in the right rear of the car.

As for the noise when you hit bumps, can you tell if it's inside the car or outside? When I'm on bumpy roads I can hear the foam tray in the cargo area moving around and styrofoam against metal can make strange noises. It could be something back there moving around causing the noise.

is it only when the breaks are applied or only in reverse? it could be a ebreak issue or a caliper or pad thats loose.
How fast are we going here less then 5mph I assume.

You are the exact reason I do not come here as often as I used to. Yeah. I posted in multiple places. 1 was in my region and it got moved. Who are you? The post police? I am just looking for answers to my problem. So keep your crap to yourself unless you can help!
