OK now that it has cooled down in here, I have a question. Got the bumper protector. My body color is BSP, what do you think about painting red (or puting red or white reflective tape?) under the protector where the SCION cutouts are?

you can get it from http://www.newscionparts.com/product/?id=264 great service and great price.

It has been confirming that it is off stop order, although the protector is totally different from the original one provided by Scion.

Is the one on newscionparts.com different from PT747-52080? I got the scion one from a scion dealer off of ebay - fast delivery and good price.

you'd have to post a picture of the one you have, the one they sell I believe is the one where scion is cut out of it.

Thanks to the special jerk with the corn cob up his butt for confirming that it is off stop order.

STILL bitter? Wow. Don't worry, next time I won't bother helping. Apparently I am supposed to have infinite patience in addition to a helpful attitude.
why the anger?? just patience would be fine.

fire away with your "i've been here longer than you", "i'm on my second xb", "i have the coolest mods", or whatnot. i came to this site since my wife bought a new scion xb, hoping to get some good advice, and i see this thread. wow. i have a toyota truck that could drive right over your car, given the chance. i can't understand how people can be such dicks. the guy is just looking for a little info about, of all things, a bumper protector. sheesh. again, why the anger?

In hindsight I was wrong in insulting bigfieroman, and responding in such a manor.

Bigfieroman is actually very helpful to the ScionLife community, and generally has a lot of beneficial insight and information to offer.

That being said, this thread has gotten out of hand, and I think it's gone so far off topic that it's time for a moderator to lock this one out.

It's all good. Bigfieroman and I have privately apologized and moved on.

I have since ordered the bumper protector listed at trdsparks since bigfieorman was so insistant, so I should have it sometime next week.

Bigfieroman, how long did you have yours taped to the wall to straighten it out?

Thanks for the support CIONIDE, but I was over the line with some of my comments, I just got frustrated.

In other news, Daarken and I have made our peace via PM. I am going to remove all of the nasty fighting comments now.

ROFL, we posted at the same time about the same thing.

It has been on the wall for a few weeks and still has some creases in it, but I am not sure what it will look like with the backing paper off. I have only had it up so long because it has been too cold to install. Being as flexible as it is, if you install it correctly, it should lose the wrinkles.

Thanks for the quick reply BFM, it was 70F here today, hopefully the weather will hold next week. If mine has creases in it, I might take a cold iron to it.

I put a few Nat'l Geo. mags on top of my new model BP and layed it under the sofa for a week to smooth it out. Looks good now. Read the instructions carefully about lining it up during the install.
If you want the other (older style? PT747-52080) BP I think you can still get it here: http://ssuperstore.com/product_info....1a6746392c9c9e

The new one PT747-52180 is available all over the net and on ebay. Now if we could get a nice warm day I'll out it on.
Any feed back on putting some color under the SCION cut outs?

I ordered my appliqué from either of those 2 sites and it pictured the CF version. I received a month and a half ago and finally opened up the box and installed it 2 days ago. To my surprise, it was not CF but more of like a textured black sand paper. I just assumed they did not make the CF one anymore and installed it and am pretty happy with it on my BSP. Now that I know they make the CF version, you guys honestly killed it for me...

yeah i was wanting the CF version, but its a freaking hassle figuring out who has what. I guess I'll stick with the sandpaper one I got last night from trdsparks.
