Rekey? or Reprogram the alarm?
Does anyone know the correct way to have my xb rekeyed? I called the dealership and they said they were not a lock smith but they do do it, Makes me think they are outsourcing the job so should I just try to go to a lock smith? I got my head cracked open last night and mugged. They took my keys, cell phone, and wallet. So they have my keys and address, I'm worried that they are going to come back for the car. Has anyone had anything like this happen? Any suggestions?

Ya it was deffinatly a crappy experience. I have no recollection of what happened either. I went across the street to grab some grub at del taco and woke up in the ER this morning covered in blood. I'm very confused as to what happened. I went back to the spot the ambulance picked me up from and there was a big ol'd puddle of blood and broken glass off to the side. Atleast my ride didn't get jacked yet. Thank god for fraud protection, apparently they tried using my debit card at walmart on all sorts of ____ and they didn't allow it. I'm just tryin to find the best way to rekey the car, The dealer sounded kinda off about it. I just thinkk I don't like toyota of orange honestly, they lied to me about doing a tire rotation in the past.

Get your cards blocked, file a police report and find out for the report from your bank when the card was used and what store number. Almost all stores including gas stations have cameras and they use those to catch people if not the real suspect.
The car you need to get it re-keyed and the remotes removed since both are made together. As for the keys, I would try another toy dealer or a lock smith.
The older cars you could do a series of events like slamming the doors, getting in and out of the car, turning the key off and on, inserting and removing it as well as holding the up or down window buton a few seconds to add, delete or change the alarm settings. Its all done at the dealer now through the computer.
