I have been looking for but could not find a good, definite release series faq. Like a nice list of the xa, tc, xb, etc and each RS number and what it specifically came with. Like I have been trying to find a grill I like for my 10, and hated billet ones and the silver mesh ones. Well a 09 6.0 release came in the shop today (absolutely red) and they have a black mesh grill which I freaking love, ordered one minutes after seeing it lol. So a list of the one-off options would be nice on here. And if there is one and i just cant find it, it needs to be stickied somewhere simpler to find! lol

 

How much did the grille cost you?

 

Suggested retail was $299, I am not sure what it actually sells for through a Toyota parts dept, but I got it for $135 and that is cost + 10%.

had my rs 6 grill for well over a year now. get comp's on it all the time.

 

While you have the grill off for the swap, you should also paint everything behind the grill black. If you don't, it really looks sucky to see body colored bits and pieces behind that black grill.

Thanks for the tip on painting behind the grill, it does clean it up. And I will check today on whats the best I can get them at. Crap would hit the fan if we had a bunch of stuff rolling out at cost lol.

Hey guys I can get the part number tomorrow (its in my notebook at work)
As for selling them I don't think its going to be something you are interested in at least from where I works part department. They said it would have to be retail, $299. Thats a lot to me for a grill, lol if I did not work there I would never have paid that. But I will post the Toyota part number for it tomorrow and maybe through your connections you can find it cheaper. Sorry I could not help out, I don't work in parts so can't really control them, I am just happy they cut me a deal :D.

 

Cool, see if your parts manager will cut us a deal, say $160 plus shipping. I look every week on ebay for the past year and only 1 has come up. It sold for $155 shipped.
