Ok Gothbox, it is done.

i did the paint all by myslef didnt use some background, I was a lil' iffy on it but I think it came out good.
I am going to use it as my next submission for the skin a scion contest.

Also I will include, that a buddy from scionlife.com wanted to see what his awesome xB would look like as a panel truck, along with a link to a pic of your box (just to add substtance to the chop).

I have entitled the pic "Goth Box"

i hope you like....

and here is the link to the pic from my gallery...

I have been wanting to do this to my tC (the art style, not actually do anything to the tC), but its tedious and takes some practice. So I thought I would start with an xB since its nice and boxy.

This thread insipred me to make an xB Nomad, themed like my website.

I cheated on the wheels, and interior. And the grills and headlights suck. But like I said, it was my first one. Enjoy

I give you, the http://www.indemnity83.com scion xB Nomad

hmm i dont know what you mean by wrong,

this is the deal..

its not audi style nor is it like the green five axis style, but it was icorperated to be that kinda style, with ghosted middle piece, the grill may seem like some funky shape but the shape i feel looks agresive,

probably the way it arches at the bottom and its parellel side (passanger) is what are throughing ppl off.

It just doesn't look symmetric, and it seems to go lower than the invisible plane of the ground.

I am not saying anything bad about the style, it just looks off to me.

Thanks. I did it in GIMP. In my opinion, since 2-door cars generally have larger doors, if it is going to be a 2-door, it should look like it was designed that way to begin with and not just a 4-door with the rear doors gone. So that's why I did it that way.

A good comparison would be the PT Cruiser 2-door (convertible) vs. 4-door. The doors on the 2-door PT are much larger. They didn't just re-use the same small front doors from the 4-door PT when they made the 2-door version. Which is a good thing in my opinion.

The HHR panel wagon re-uses the same doors. Which wouldn't look too bad except for the fact that the rear doors are still there, just without any side glass. I think they should have eliminated the rear doors entirely on the HHR panel. Just my opinion. Probably would have cost more to develop and that's why they didn't do it. And that's what I don't like about it - it looks like a cheap shortcut.

BTW, It's not really noticeable but I also extended the rear overhang a few inches on the xB to better balance with the front overhang.
