How about , "The Next B". I never thought Scion should have called it the xB. I do own a gen 1 and am planning to buy a gen 2 also (they are great and safe to drive). A big step up from the gen 1, but it is a cross between the PT and the HHR and the gen 1 xB. If you put all three together you get the gen 2 xB. But I would prefer to call it "The Next B"

Either way, Toyota made the decision, it's a done deal. The actual name is non-negotiable.
The question the original poster had was about nick names. While a point of discussion, this thread is not likely to sway what anyone actually calls their gen xB.

The only reason I don't like that its called the xb is that it makes it harder to search for parts cause I always run into gen 1 stuff. Otherwise, who cares?

to me it doesn't matter ... cars change each year ... i just use xb2 when i am telling people what i have ... it is still an xB ... it just happenes to be a year or more newer then the 1gn ones ...

I love the gen1 xb but im not gonna drive another 1.5 again... my wife used to have a civic DX... I even test drove it twice to make sure it wasnt for me. I test drove the xb2 and fell in love with it. Plus it is a much safer car to drive. There is alot of gen 1 xb's in anaheim and I never get a response when ever I say wassup or make a friendly gesture.

I call both xb's Voltron's foot cuz the 1st time I saw a gen 1, that was the first thing that popped into my head

I love 1st and 2nd gen xbs Each suitable for individuals with different likes or needs. Scioners now have more choices in toasters. I'd own both if I weren't looking for a motorcycle.
