I found this today after having my 08 XB for a week and a half. This is a piece of a plastic that is
in front of the windshield on the driver side. Should I have the dealership fix it? Thanks for your opinions.

if you cant pop it back in then you should DEFINATLY have them fix it. I mean your car is brand new, you paid for every part on the car as new...that doesnt look new... get it fixed no biggie.

I think I'd complain about it when you take the car in for your complementary 5K service and tire rotation.

Thanks. That's 3 out 3. So I will have them put more tape on it.

bring it back talk to the salesmen he will probably just send out an hourly tech to look at it to see if it actually needs to be replaced or just snapped back in.

Actually, I looked underneath it and it was hold together by a 2 sided tape. I don't know why scion added that piece to the car. I don't see a point to it.

yep, take it in, just don't let them wash your car. I had mine in for service and they totally scratched up my paint by washing it, they took care of it and detailed it, but service porters have no idea how to wash a car

That is bad looking! I cannot believe a car manufacturer would use double sided tape on an exterior piece. I wonder how many will have this problem... most likely a lot. This will be the first TSB for the 08 xb.

I think if you removed the A pillar black tape and that piece, it may look ok. I wonder if the black tape and plastic piece was a last minute addition to the new model?

X2, off topic, but I took my tC in for a warranty service this past weekend. Spent 2hrs washing/waxing/detailing her Friday, Sat the work was done, and they gave it a complimentary wash of spraying it down with a hose Talk about being ____ed

I too would have them look at it and have them fix/replace it. New cars aren't suppose to do that

if it's just taped on take it off on both sides and bring a lil more color to your ride.

I just got back from the dealership. They are going to order a new piece and fix it tomorrow. I don't see why scion would add more plastics on the outside of the car. The Summer heat can cause the plastic to warp.
