Default torn cv boot

so i have a torn cv boot they are saying its my fault so now what firebomb the place or what its been like that since i got the car and they still say its my fault

If is has been torn since you got the car why not get it fixed the day you got the car?

It should be covered under your basic factory warranty.

i didnt notice it till i put my rims on and just thought it was something else so i took it to the dealer yesterday they are blaming it on my coilovers i told them i want it in writing and that they lost a good customer i will be taking my money somewhere else they said it would be 335 to fix it im more ____ed then anything

damn, mine was ripped but it was def my fault (been lowered for more then 65k so its expected, but i just put more grease in there and siliconed it shut abotu 10k ago and its still holding up...

yea man, i wasnt missing any chunks from it, it had a tiny pin hole, so i pretty much covered the whole boot with silicone, let it sit for a couple hours, and then put another coat on, then checked for leaks. nothing.

and it was free, i had grease laying around at the shop, and silicone too

so i took it into one dealer they said they wouldnt cover it i took it to another where a friend of mine works they took care of it but they also found the reason it was torn there was a hole in the axle is what she said that water got in and froze the boot so it tore when i was driving it weird so they are replacing my pass axle

they are charging me nothing it was all fixed free of cost got the car back yesterday they even cleaned up the grease mess and washed my car lol

THATS AWESOME THAT THEY FIXED IT! I hope you tipped them..they took real good care of you... hate when dealers always trying to dime you for everything.

^^^I assume they covered it under your warranty right?
If there is no physical damage to the boot, than it's covered regardless what the dealership says. This happens all of the time at my dealership. Glad it worked out for you...
