Default TRD brake pads

I see the scion website lists TRD brake pads as an aftermarket replacement, Has anyone bought these yet? Also, is the opposite side of the pad red a la Brembo?

I always thought a red brak pad set up showing through wheels looked pretty good.

not sure if the back of the pads are red, but even if they were, you 'd only see a very small amount of it sticking thru. i think what you're talking about is a red caliper that shows thru the rim. you can do it yourself using duplicolor caliper paint. i'd also (and this is just me) shy away from trd parts. i am running their springs (they were the only ones out at the time of purchase). everything else is overpriced and not as good as others out there. check these out... they were posted in another forum on here and you could paint the back of the pads yourself with hi temp paint...

the second link says its for drums but the description says disks. and again, this was info posted by another member that i saved the links for. i am not responsible for correctness... just trying to help out with info for you.

Not as good? What's better than TRD? I know they are more expensive but what do you expect from a FACTORY performance part? Quality is top notch with TRD products & I would most denfietly buy them over chinese/taiwan made "performance parts" out there.

Not only that, knowing you have a much less of chance of warranty issues is even better. Do you think a dealership would hassle you more with TRD parts on your vehicle or the exact same parts made by some aftermarket company?
