Trying to trade in my 2006.5 BOP xB

you guys have what and what and what?? That's really cool! Think that's a great asset for Scion dealerships because of the targetd market for the Scion brand. More Scion dealers should adopt that, so it'll help Scion turn into a "culture", not only a brand.
And dude, don't get mad at that poor kid. You have probably confused him enough putting those "dots" between words within paragraphs. I couldn't finish reading what he was trying to express as I find it too hard to read. All I got from it was that he should have spent those money he paid on cars on grammer school instead.
But seriously, dealerships needs to make money too! Zlog, I think that's really as good of a deal as you can get. However, if you are willing to work a little more for a few hundred bucks, you can try Capitol Toyota/Scion in Salem, OR. I bought both of my Toyota and Scion from them because they offered me better trade in figures then other dealers I went to. Don't use their service department though, they gave my highlander 6 quarts of oil because it's a 6 cylinder. My heart almost stopped when they told me that when I called and asked for an explaination for why the reading on my dipstick is waaaaaaay up there after I brought it in for oil change.

...with focus on 'good'. No matter how stupid a customer is, I don't think it's wise for a sales rep to berate a potential future customer of the brand.
Personally, I don't care who says what. But this site is based around a brand, and simplyscion is a purportedly a seller of that brand. While I_Lo is clearly missing a few... somethings, simplyscion's response does make you go 'hmm...'

Im protecting my own image and dont need it squashed by some snot nosed 18 yr old who stereotypes to no end. Not only have I been a salesman there for 3 years, I was also the President of the NY chapter of Team ScioNRG up until I got into a terrible accident with my tC back in Sept...I no longer have a Scion, so I handed the reins over to my Vice President. My dealership is the official sponsor of Team ScioNRG...I try to do every little thing I can for this community and I dont need a bad rep because of some hearsay spewing out of an immature 18 yr old. I do appologize as my responses were a little harsh but it just bugs me to no end when your trying to do nothing but the right thing for your customers and potential customers and just because someone out there ruined it for them, that means in their eyes that every salesperson is the same.

car sales people are jokes and you just proved it minerva!!!! and who cares who makes 6 figures or whatever you still are out there prostituting yourself for car sales right????

There's no prostitution in car sells. A little human trafficking maybe, but definintly no prostitution. Well, maybe in Nevada, they have the Bunny Ranch and all ya know.

I think car sales people are just like any other sales positions. They just happen to sell cars. Would it be different if he's a sales person for let's say.... Scanning Electron Microscope? Because I just talked to one a few weeks ago for my professor and he's one of the most professional person I have talked to.
And I think for most dealerships, it's really not the sales people that are there to screw you over, it's their managers. Chances are, even if the sales person you were dealing with was on your side in terms of the financing details, the call is really up to their managers to make. And if you expressed your attitude towards them when you were trying to get the car, well guess what, he's not going to be on your side in the first place.
Anyhow, I am out of here.
Original poster, please PM me if you would like to give Capitol Toyota a try, I think I still have the contacts for a few of the guys there.

Unless I won lotto, I couldn't imagine not selling a car myself. You've got Cars.com, Ebay etc. All with willing buyers if you can handle a little work to get an extra couple of thousand $$$$
