Unlock passenger and hatch door with one click of remote?
Is there a way to program the locks to unlock all doors with one click of the unlock button on the remote? I hate having to hit it twice. On my Toyota, with VIP alarm, I was able to make it unlock all doors with one click instead of two. I don't think the new xB has the VIP by default and I didn't see any info in the book about this.

Yes the manual does say it can be done by taking it to the dealer. What I want to know is can the doors be locked automaticaly once you start moving? The manual says it can be done for autos only but I can almost swear an old co worker of mine had that feature on his Tacoma. Though I know it isn't the same car but if it can be done with that, it should be able to be done with the XB

I didn't request this, so I imagine it's standard (sic) behavior.

You get the factory nav system in a m/t. If you're moving, no DVD playback (without a work around). I don't see why this couldn't be hooked to a vehicle speed sensor, just like you could do with an automatic, having it programmed to lock doors at, say, 20mph. The sensor at the shifter, or wherever, for an automatic transmission, I would think, could just be bypassed or grounded, or switched, or however one would do it, so it would work the same for a m/t. It would be just like the nav system, grounding the parking brake and interrupting the VSS. Except you'd keep the VSS and ground the transmission sensor. No?

Most DVD playback interlocks are tied to the parking brake having to be on with a manual transmission (plus many DVD players now have gyro sensors built in to detect movement).
If connected in the same way it would mean doors locking with the release of the parking brake...
On the original xB (which didn't lock it's doors automatically) there was nevertheless a lead from the ECU to the "Door Lock Control Relay" module that delivered speed info to the module... Some owners have reported a "click" from the module at 20 MPH...
For all we know the original xB could have "auto-lock at 20" built in but not used. The xB2 may have the same. Sounds like some research is needed (as in monitor each lead from the DLC module and see if any change state at 20 MPH...).
