It'll still flow air, too. Actually, the loss of air flow is almost negligible. ;)

That picture is not an '08 xB. We don't have the smaller vent on the dash that directs air toward the driver side window to defrost it (above the round directional vent). When I turn on the defroster, I aim the side vent at the driver side window to defrost it. The rest of the time I keep the vent aimed directly at my left hand on the steering wheel to keep it warm in the winter (heat on), and cool and dry in the summer (A/C on); try it, it works really well. As just a plain outside air vent, I agree, it's pretty much useless.

That's true...it is not a pic of a Scion. It is a pic of one of my products in another carline, that is similar in size and location.
I'm simply asking if this might be something the Scion community would like to have as an option for adding gauges to their vehicles. ;)

Got it, I hope it didn't sound like I was slamming you. I was just pointing out what differed from a utility point of view for our side vent, and what I use mine for. That vent-gauge is actually a really nice solution for mounting an extra gauge now that we have side curtain airbags in the A-pillars and can no longer use that location.

;) No offense taken.

Would you happen to know if the xD and xB use the same vent? They look very similar.

Never been in an xD, but I'm sure one of the many Scion sales consultants that are SL members will chime in with an answer for you soon.

Haha.

I love my cars. The 3 is a GREAT vehicle. The Mazda5 is basically a 3. Too bad IT doesn't come in mazdaspeed. Enough thread jacking, sorry. I don't know why we would need this unless we have turbo in our xB. I for one am NOT turboing mine.

It's a gauge holder, for whatever gauge you may want to install.

The 3 guys have turbos, with no boost gauge from the factory, so it's a good fit over there.
I have no idea what the aftermarket is for the Scion line. I just thought I'd post to see if it piqued anyone's interest. ;) Are there turbo kits available for this line? Or the xD?

Well you might just be a little early for most of us xb2 owners as not many are boosted. But I think you should definitely make these because youre definitely going to see some wicked boxes in the coming months! The 3 vents are not much different at all from ours so maybe itd be a direct swap.
