Default problems with xb2?

Okay now after reading a few more of these and having mine for a bit, here is what I agree with:

-HID headlight options!!
-Stealthing the ipod connector/making it so the wire doesnt seem funky/possibly make it retractable
-steering wheel controls for the cruise control instead of the "dumbstick"
-interior lights for the controls that currently don't have lights (mirror adjustments, gauge light dimmer, etc)
-better position for the 12v (lighter) adapter plug
-make the c-pillar nets standard! lol

I've only had my xB for less than a week, and to be honest, i'm pretty happy. The few gripes i have so far are:
Arm rest.
sun visors.
cruise control on steering wheel instead of the stick.
lights for the steering wheel controls.

Other than that, bang for the buck, the car really cant' be beat. I even drove a matrix XRS right before i test drove the xB, and the matrix is VERY uninspiring.

As far as the paint thing goes, the hood on my Mazda chipped like crazy. There were chips on the door edges, chips on the quarter panels.. and I took care of the exterior. Someone made the comment about the standards of modern cars, and I believe that has a lot to do with it. The front bumper was ok, but the hood was chipped pretty bad.

I have noticed 2 chips in paint near the rear doors that is rusting...for only having the car a year this is pathetic....wonder if that is covered under warranty...

^ Sorry but paint is not covered under the warranty unless it is a manufacture defect... I think they should have put auto pilot in it because driving is so cumbersome.

Paint may not be covered, but I think corrosion is.

I am enjoying the car overall but a few styling/function issues could be differentimproved

I am 5'4". The outside mirrors are too high to have comfortable peripheral vision, even with the seat elevated. I don't think it would be a safety issue for taller drivers if mirrors were at least an inch lower. Lowering them would also take the mass out of the thick A pillars.

The driver's seat gets pretty hard on long trips. I ended up making a 2" foam cushion which made it more comfortable and partially solved the vision issue with the mirrors.

Have some kind of step to rest your right foot on when using cruise control.

Longer sunvisors. Is this a side air-bag problem?

Would be nice if the front passenger seat would fold flat forward for extra long cargo.

Get the Toyota blessing for LIGHT (1000 lb) trailer towing.

I just want more options.

They should keep the car cheap and then offer tons of goodies, I would have gladly paid more for OEM HID's and other options so I didn't have to dick around with the after market world and there sub par quality's.

I would have paid more for

HIDS
Heated Seats
Rear window roll down! (that would be cool)

And all types of other things

Some people buy the XB cause its cheap, the ones who buy it for the way it looks and drives need to have the ability to full load it
