Simple to do, look up ANY Scion dealer in your area online and they have their rates posted based on you credit score.

Easy as can be.

I picked up an 09 pre-owened with 3,800 miles for $14,300 @ 4.49%. It was a trade in on a Lexus lot and was purchased on the last day of the month. Having my young children run wild in the dealership could not have hurt either! I had sat in the Scion dealership 3 weeks earlier in one that was new and had dealer installed 18s but otherwise identicle for a sticker of 21k. Needless to say I am quite happy with my purchase.

Could you point me a link? I really have no clue to find out where the rate is.

My credit union offers 3.99% financing for new and used cars for up to 60 months. www.penfed.org

If I do end up getting an xB2, I'll probably go with them.

i DIDN"T pay sticker. you can haggle with a toyota sales rep. if you talk to a scion sales rep they aren't allowed to do anything but tell you "pure price".

also, they applied a corolla lease deal that was being pushed at that time to my xb. yes, a lease. no money down.

i have great credit and also my timing was good. this economy is making for desperate sales departments. i went on a last day of the month and haggled them until 8pm sunday night!

I googled Ohio Scion Dealers and this was the first link.

http://scion.sunnysideauto.com/finance_pricing.htm

5.55% for 60 months with a credit score over 720 was the best the offered.

It all depends on your score

By the way to Florida'09xB

You sir are a

Great. You were a pain in the neck to some dealership.
You still did not answer the post.
Everyone else either said what they bought used and what they paid or like me tried to give an idea on rate.

Your post was unnecessary.
I am glad you got a deal on a car you wanted but post something relevent.

i offered the info that you can, in fact negotiate price and lease deals, instead of just dropping trou and taking it without a reach-around.

what i paid is private and not important. how i accomplished the deal is relevant.

There's also a notable difference here... you can finance through TFS or through your own service (Credit Union, local bank, etc).

If you finance through TFS, just go on Scion.com and Build Your Scion ( http://www.scion.com/bys/pub/ ) and go through that and then click the Customize Payment option. Once you choose your credit info, you can go back and forth and see exactly what the rates are. Looks like TFS has the following right now:

[table:d3929eb7a1]
[mrow color=red:d3929eb7a1]Score[mcol:d3929eb7a1]Rate
[row:d3929eb7a1]720 and up[col:d3929eb7a1]5.8 %
[row:d3929eb7a1]690-719[col:d3929eb7a1]7.4 %
[row:d3929eb7a1]670-689[col:d3929eb7a1]10.1 %
[row:d3929eb7a1]650-669[col:d3929eb7a1]11.4 %
[row:d3929eb7a1]630-649[col:d3929eb7a1]14.7 %
[row:d3929eb7a1]610-629[col:d3929eb7a1]16.8 %
[row:d3929eb7a1]580-609[col:d3929eb7a1]19.8 %
[row:d3929eb7a1]below 580[col:d3929eb7a1]21.6 %
[/table:d3929eb7a1]
Not that they'd actually loan anything to you at those lower rates. But that's all figured at 60 months right now.

You may also get different rates through TFS depending on how long you finance.... that is, a 72 month loan may have a slightly higher interest rate than a 60 month.

If you're NOT going to finance through TFS, you need to just contact your local lenders and see what they will offer you. I just went through a bunch of this with my g/f when she bought her xD a few weeks ago.

As for WHAT you pay... that depends a little on the dealer - but basically Pure Price says you pay what is on the sticker. They really should NOT be haggling with you over the price and I believe they can lose their Scion franchise if they're caught doing so. Now if you can get them to throw in some floor mats or other accessories, that's totally different but also keep in mind that the dealers don't make jack squat on new Scion sales so many may not be so apt to throw in free accessories for you.

My apologies to deal with this off topic discussion.

Ignorance is ignorance Florida.

You posting irelevent information to the topic was and is unnecessary and the way you did it was ignorant.
You claiming a better a deal then me or others is unfounded and ignorant.

Your own words "what i paid is private and not important."

WTF? Did he not ask for help when he started the post. Don't post if that is your view.
If you wish to offer helpful instructions on negotiating when he is in Ohio and you are in Florida, then go ahead, but to brag about being a doucheb@g to you dealer is ignorant.
You have dealer documention fees in Florida which he does not, @ss.

Did you even think to look up a link or offer a guide to the guy, no.
Do you know the deals I get, no.
Did I disagree with you trying to get a better deal, no.
I said what you posted had ZERO help for the original poster. Keep it on topic.

Your " I am big and bad and bossed some sales people" around attitude is just plain ignorant.

Again you are a loser

Now onto our regularly scheduled broadcast.

Flawlessly, have you checked your credit score on your own or at a dealership? If so look at the score versus the dealer link I gave you. If you want help PM me the score and I will run a financial calculator and we can see what payments shake out at.
Scion is a pure price car line so the idea is alot like McDonalds dollar menu. It is a buck, do I want it or not? Once you decide that and your finances you are golden.

Florida has different approach than most. Be a bu!!head to the dealer.
It works for him it sounds like but most of us do not want the hastle and nervousness in haggling.

Google the area dealers to see whom carries Scion. Just look through there site and see what deals are being offered in Ohio. Or check Scion life for your area and see if there are any reviews for dealers in your area and contact them or the reveiwer.

ok here's more advice to the original postor:
be wary of somebody who online tells you to not haggle for a better deal, makes disparriaging remarks about somebody who tells you to hold out for a BETTER DEAL, and is offering to help you secure financing.

this rickbreitfeld clearly has a vested interest in your making a deal. i don't know how or why, but its fishy as hell. its your money and you should defend it. only a dealer rep would tell you to not bother with haggling.

I have been on ScionLife since April of 2004.
Lets look at your time on, your profile does not want to come up.
Fishy is you.

I said to look at negotiating, but not everyone wants too, I am offering to calculate a payment. He can go online and do that, but I am offering to help. He has to do the research and buy. I help students and people at church all the time with budgets and purchasing options.
On Scion life I have found this a helpful community as well.

As far as you and I; I should not have called you out and called a you loser. Upon rereading the posts that was mean. I just don't like people ragging people (even car salespeople) and then laughing about it like it is the way we should act towards each other. We all need to be treated with more respect.

And so do you.

I apologize.

rickenbreittenfeld, read his very first post. he refers to being fed the company policy of "no haggling" and also given a interest rate quote that to him seems high.

i offered, from my first post, the suggestion to the OP that he should not accept the "no haggle" policy. furthermore, he should find a better toyota lease deal and get them to apply it to his scion.
