Default When can we build one?

I was wondering when Scion will update the site so we can atleast build what we want and know our price. I am first on the list at the dealership that I am dealing with and I dont want to have to wait until after I get it to have them have to send it back to port just to install certain stuff. Does anyone have a clue when they might update the site?

Not sure about the website, but my dealer said that he can generally begin ordering cars about 3 weeks before release, so I am gonna call him starting the 22nd.

Good question SXb04! I was wondering this myself.

I would have thought they would release the "Build Scion" updates after they released the accessory pricing.

I personally have no idea, but if I had to guess I would say that the web site will be updated around the first of next month. By that time, the first dealers should start to recieve them.

I already put a deposit on one at my dealer. They didn't know the price of any accessories, so I just told them to give me the thing stock and I'll add stuff later. If you want one soon, you may want to go ahead and talk to your dealer. It sounds like they will be very limited the first few months.

just found out. new scion.com goes live on april 26th. the site is already done they are just waiting to put it live until some of the older stuff sells. that gave them some times to do some tweaking and make sure everything works.

so check it out, april 26th and build your new xB

Finally the last phase until I get mine. :D This puts the icing on my cake now I wont have to worry about any more of the Run Around of not knowing what the hell is going on and when I am going to get one which will be a little later then what I thought from that last thread on this forum.

Does that mean that they will have all the official specs including the mpg figures by Apr 26th so that we know what we're buying?

Someone in another thread quoted a Scion official as saying the MPG would be announced on the 25th. I heard on another board that Edmunds should be announcing the "full specs" today...but not sure if that is true/how to find out.

probably not, lol.

My money is on the whole thing being a hybrid that gets 9876 MPG in the city and 11.2 on the highway, then they'll launch that info the day they launch the car with 100000000 to sell so i make lots and lots of money

The new site is now up, sort of.

On the main page, they are showing the 06 xB, but if you go into the "build", it has a pic of the 08. The base prices, etc. are still shown for the 06, they have not been updated. The colors have been updated. The price of the accessories, who knows?

There are no additional specs on the page, so no news on MPG, etc.

With Toyota having so long to get this web site together, its a very poor excuse for one. I sure hope the new xB is better done than their site is!

ditto for me
BUT
It is the 26th all day
and
it is only about 6:50AM in California as I type this.

You could at least let somebody get to work and have a cup of coffee before you get too excited.

Yeah, they're not at work yet, lol. I bet it comes up this afternoon. We'll see.

I have access to the test site they were building and it looks really cool, but it still had bugs . . . hope they get it all fixed. The last thing we want for the launch of the new B is a bunch of confusion about wheel locks and all, lol

It should be up by 2morrow. They usually launch it mid day to mid evening. Well they may do it like that, they've done it that way before so.

The "first drive" was interesting. The only real complaint was some body roll and understeer, both of which will be helped immensely by the TRD rear swaybar. (already the first item on my list)

Let's take bets!

We'll use Central time, well because that's where I am at, lol. It is 9:38 where I am at while I am posting this.

Instructions. Copy this list and add you name to the time slot you think the website goes live in Central standard time. Thats right, I made up the game, so I get to pick the time zone, lol. I'll even make up a prize. The person to pick the correct time will get some want2bsquare.net orange fuzzy dice! they are pretty cool, they look like a square headed person from that site! Guess away, one person per time slot, and tommorrow doesn't count. you can only pick one time slot! have fun!!
