Default Is the xB the best pizza delivery vehicle?

I posted this picture of an xB eating a pizza box to the blog yesterday, and it got me thinking.

What is the best pizza delivery vehicle in the Scion line-up? The xB jumps out because of it's size... but it's also really big and slow. Obviously the FR-S won't work because it's back seat is can barely fit a handful of golf *****. Maybe the iQ? It's small, zippy, and easy to park.

Delivery people, I'm especially eager to hear your input.

When I delivered pizza, I rarely used the back seat for pizza...

Anything with 4 wheels and is dependable is fine for delivering pizza...

A food delivery driver wants something nimble and stable. FR-S stands out as being the best handling Scion. Size doesn't matter as you're not usually delivering a bunch of pizzas at once. If I were a pizza delivery driver, FR-S would be the one followed by tC.

This.

It's not like you're providing a mobile pizza truck. You don't need the extra room.

Um, all you need is a front seat. How many pizzas do you plan to carry around?

That being said, my dad has been delivering pizzas as a side job for many years and swears by his prius... At around 46-50mpg in the city, he makes out very well in regards to fuel costs and what they pay the drivers for each delivery.

Also, if you deliver pizzas your car will smell, bad... Trust me, the smell is almost nauseating. I will highly suggest a beater just for deliveries... Keep your nicer car away from it.

Such a simplistic trade; over analyzing it a tad bit here.

Kind of a waste of a thread.

More like the best flower delivery vehicle. Tons of space, no weight. There are three or four flower companies in Boulder that use them. Awesome taxis too!

Taxi, yes. Chicago is filled with them. Yellow, purple, black, you name it. Every color they got 'em, and they fit a crowd, along with your shish.

Fold down the FR-S rear seat and you can enjoy the driving while working.

Default xB for Pizza?

As a pizza delivery car, it's overkill. Sure it has lots of room, but pizzas are flat. The FR-S or Tc are fun to drive, but pricier. The big overriding concern for a car used for deliveries is gas mileage. That gas comes out of your pocket, tho' you may get some back from the company. By you delivering pizzas, it tells me a few things: you really need the money and regular companies are not hiring (you may need flex hours and they won't provide it is a biggie).

That said, the xD would be the sensible pick. City mpg is 27. 4 mpg better than tC, 5 mpg better than xB. At 10k miles, the xB will burn 454 gallons. the tC 435gal, the xD 370. I've got the xB2 and frankly, it's not the best on gas. Lots of power and I can haul a lot of tools and materials, but I pay for that power at the pump.

Consider insurance rates before buying, if you bought a tc etc you will give arm and leg

Good observation, FreedomPenguin. Young driver+sporty car=$$$ insurance. Young driver+plain car=$$ insurance. Older (I'm not old, damnit!) driver+plain car (xB2)=$ insurance. Older driver + sporty car (Fr-S)=$$ midlife crisis (young blond is extra).
