Can we keep this on topic. There are already 5 billion posts/threads on unintended acceleration and recall issues. You guys will never convince the otherside. . . true or false, shift to neutral; you really shouldn't be driving if you don't know how to do that. End of story. Can we move on?

Because losing face is the worst thing that can happen to someone in Asia. Therefore, people and companies try to prevent that as much as possible. It's not America, where the concept of shame is nonexistent.

Some of the early 4th generation Z28 Camaros had run away issues too. One of the bushings in the head of the throttle body would fail and the blades would fall open going WOT.

Yeah, but the original Toyota bB (Japanese Domestic Market Scion xB) only offered the 1.5L engine in 2WD - the 4WD was 1.3L...
The current Toyota bB (Materia/COO/DEX) does offer AWD with the 1.5, so it could actually be a viable option in the US market.
First we would have to convince them to import ANY version of it, though.

The XB2 is far more Superior than the Xb1 except for people who live in cities and the ones that drive less than 10,000 miles a year. I personally will never buy an XB1. I like knowing that when I want to pass someone and I put the pedal to the floor there is going to be enough power to deliver.... I personally think a big problem with Scion's sales now are their pure pricing. Just out of curiosity have any of you seen what happens to a Kia in a car accident? I will put it this way there isn't much left of it.....
