Eibach Scion xB Sportline
#26
finally decided to get the sportline instead of the cusco coilovers and got it installed last night.
the install was very basic and very easy. range of difficulty 0 -10 i would say 2 and this is just the 2nd car i drop hands on. just can't believe how easy it was especially the rear it just took me 5 - 10 mins. the front took alittle longer coz i have to take out the rims around 30mins total job less than an hour.
i also weighted the sportline front springs is 6.19 lb and the rear is 6.24lb.
the stock is actually much lighter, front 4.9 lb and rear 5.1 lb.
so the difference is the sportline front is 1.29lb heavier and the rear is 1.13 lb heavier.
i just wonder what is the weight for the other springs thats been out and make a comparison.
then i went to a stranded area and took a few good laps around several blocks and i'm very pleased w/the transitions from left - right and vice versa. very minimal body roll and no rubbing. the weight transfer while braking and accelerating was spot on as well now i just need some shocks and install the sway bar then the suspension is done for now. when i was cruising home it felt very smooth very comparable to stock that really did surprise me.
overall its well worth the $185 investment and it looks great completely balance out the front and rear. i'll post some pics once i get my car wash
P.S. thank you all so much for giving alot of info and feedback all the pros and con it really help me on deciding what to get thanx again

Now I've joined this thread! I love the Eibach Sportlines. They definitely plant my box better to the ground, have a very nice drop (3 finger gap), and are as comfortable as the stock springs. The only difference is they don't bounce as much over bumps; ergo, the Eibach Sportlines makes a comfortable drop.
If I go over bumps too fast, I definitely rub in the front.
The wheels are Volante Torino 18x7.5

The offset of the wheels is... unknown. Victoria Tire wasn't really helpful at all when I tried calling them. They never answered their phones. And the one time they did, they put me back on hold. Regrettably, I don't know the offset. But whatever it is, it's pretty damn close to flush. I have been thinking about adding spacers in the back, but honestly at this point, I don't really care. It still looks great. The pictures don't reflect it, but I also glued some LEGOs onto the valve stems. So I'm rolling on yellow LEGO valve stems. It's funky. lol
The ride quality is awesome. I love the drop. For being so low, it rides superbly better than stock. I can't wait to eventually add a sway bar to the back.

Where does this "sag" stuff come from. Since when do properly designed and installed springs sag? It's really ridiculous, and yet I see the question coming up in the forums over and over again! Equally, I see over and over again people expecting new springs to "settle" (Ie sag), and waiting some variable time for that non-event to occur before they have their suspension aligned. During the delay, they're busily scrubbing the tread off their tires! What's with this nonsense?
