Hotchkis Sport sway bars or TRD rear sway bar only?
#61
Don't mean to keep jacking this thread but...... I did it myself. Few problems were the links that are connected to the ends of the sway had rusted or seized but a pair of vice grips placed carefully in the middle fixed that. Also, if you plan on doing this with handtools and no impact wrench it helps taking the passenger tire off.....big time! That was when I was able to use a 1/2" drive 2' breaker bar to loosen that friggin 22mm bolt on the A-arm. Oh, it did help that I went out and bought a 22mm socket that I THOUGHT I had in the first place, dumb ___.
However the instructions said to not tighten the A-arm bolt until the car is at ride height. I was only able to torque the back A-arm bolt to 140ftlbs (AutoZones tool loaner program) with the car at ride height. Had to jack it back up to tighen the bolt that was completely removed.
Tighened everything back up and went for a spin and YES, there is a difference with both sways on! Friggin awesome!
Now it's time for one of those useless strut tower bars!
