Default 18X8 35ET w/ 225/40ZR18

Hey Guys!

Tenzo R is sponsoring our company xB2 with some DC-6 18X8 Version I wheels (black w/red). The problem is we'd like to run a 35ET rather than 45ET, but not sure if its gonna be cutting it too close.

The car is the company promo vehicle and will be taken to about 12-15 Shows & Meets here on the West Coast. But its also used as a daily driver and for occasional pickups.

Im planning on running Falken 225/40ZR18 tires with this setup. Any input is appreciated fellas!

i think the offset will look alot better then a 45offset. i have a 18 by 8 with a 40 offset and i have no problems with it. i think a nitto tire will look more flush with the rim then a falken tire. nittos seem to come wider then most other tires in the same size.

I have 16x8 with +21 offset and the fronts are perfect...no more room to go out any further...however, the rears can come out another 20 to 25mm....but i have stretched 205 on them...

willow is running 17x9 +35 wheels with 225/45-17 tires, on DF springs, and reports "no rubs whatsoever".

That would suggest that you'll be fine with 18x8 +35 and 225/40 tires.

well guys got them on.

running the Hotchkis TVS kit (springs & sways), tanabe underbrace, tanabe front stb and ingalls stiffy.

did the install on saturday and took it to latigo canyon rd in malibu that same night.

let me tell you . . i never couldve IMAGINED an xB2 can handle this good.

also running bfg g-sport tires 225/40/18. so responsive, hardly any roll and literally slingshots though any apex.

however, going into a hard turn, i do rub just a bit . . need to roll the fenders just a tad. but all in all, AWESOME SETUP!!

One other thing, my xB has 1,200 miles on it. Since Ive had it, I CANNOT turn off the VSC. I push the button and the light does not come in. Can anybody tell me why that is?

Thanks!

Looks good, nice to hear how good it handles.

I used to run motorcycles on Latigo Canyon 25 years ago, some of those turns are like back-to-back hairpins so I'm not surprised that you rub just a bit if you're hitting them hard.

no doubt.

car felt incredible. Ran it both ways from PCH to Muhallond. Took a little over 15 min each time.

Btw . . check out the xB2 suspension parts we offer . .

How do you like the Tanabe underbrace? I think it hangs down way to low. I'd probably tear it off by the end of the week. :D

you have Hotchkis sways (front & rear). Does the underbrace add more stability & lessen the body roll even more? can you feel d difference with it & without it?
didn't mean to thread jack.
nice set up

you can only turn it off when stopped. the traction control will come back on when you reach 30MPH

to fully turn it off you have to come to a complete stop and press and hold the button for 5 secs. the traction control and "vsc off" lights will come on and all will be off till you turn it on or turn off the car.

never tested the car with the sway bars and without the underbrace.

installed all components at the same time. so its hard to say.

Ive tried holding it for 5 seconds and even pushing it. both at a stop, with the car on AND off.

The car has 1,500 miles on it. Ive never even touched the interior pieces. So it cant be unplugged.

Muchos gracias on the kind remarks

Mine turns everything off by pushing the button once, and holding it down for about 5 seconds. No second push needed.
(At a complete stop of course, and with the car running.)
