Default 19" TRD RIMS with PROXES 4 235/35

Dose any body have Proxes 4 tires giving you a trouble?

When I was diving, i accidently went itno a pot hole.
It wasn't even a deep one.
But when I checked my rims and tires, rims were cretched off (only little bit)
and side of my tire was ripped! is that possible?
How can a tire could be ripped after going into a small pot hole?
Is PROXES 4 235/35 are not a good tire or what?!

Dose anybody have answers?
Or is there other tire that could be replaced to my TRD rims?
Please help me...

a 35 tire can not handle hard hits.
it would have happened to almost any brand of tire.
some tires use carbon fiber and/or kevlar to help the side wall but thoes tire are big bucks.
try to avoid all pot holes or change you set up is about all you can do

well a 235/35/19 is 25.48" tall and has a 3.24" side wall
you coul go with a 215/40/19 that is 25.78" tall and has a 3.39" side wall
or you could come back down to 18 and go with a 235/40/18 thats 25.4" tall and a 3.7" side wall.
it would be a smother ride and you wouldn't have as much of a worry about blowing out the side wall.
