You're welcome Drew; put 'em on and take some pictures! Don't listen to those tC guys, they're in the wrong forum.

Don't take that negatively tC guys, what you say is valid about cast vs. forged... it's just that most of us xB drivers don't drive as hard core as you. Coryjames is our exception, which is why he has a Turbo & is on Work wheels.

Will do once i get around to ordering them LOL i will have lot's of pic's.

I what I got from a lot the posts on here is that some people are very concerned for other peoples safety, and chose a poor way to express that.....or maybe I just like to see the best in people.

I have seen in person Rota wheels get split in half and or cracked
I have seen in person Rotora BBK malfunction on a show car

Some ppl needs to experience it or see it happen first hand before finally realizing it. Everything is a learning experience.

Old thread ftw.

No wheels are made fun of more at the track than Rotas.

ANYWAY!! thats from a 10 second google search, Im sure it can go on and on.

You guys are showing pics of cars in serious accidents, you think some 600 dollar wheel would survive that? Your nuts.

There's a difference from having a rim get dented and having a rim completely fall apart.

Jon, don't start the fire again. This topic died peacefully; let's keep it that way.

LOL....

I hate bring up or starting old flames, but there is non sense in here. And sadly it is by those that some how think ONLY high price rims are gods gift to the auto.

If you have only seen Rotas or "cheap rims" fall apart from hitting something then you have not been around long. There are many high price wheels that have been damaged just the same.

It is real easy to find a picture of a wheel and say it just fell apart when there is more to the story. I'm sure in most of the stories something big/hard/stationary was hit that would have destroyed any wheel the same way.

Having had a mix of name brand high dollar rims and a few sets of Rotas the Rotas are not as bad a most are saying here. But that is me using common sense and having a lot of track and street time with both.

Nothing wrong with the higher price rims at all if thats what you want.
But there is just little to no facts to back up the claims against Rotas in general.

I know you've been talking about white wheels; do you plan on powder coating the Rota's? If not, what finish will you be getting?

Are you going with 225/45 tires to gain a little sidewall back for comfort & to fill out the tire/fender gap another 1/2", or with 235/40 tires for the slightly meatier width?

Yea DEF Keeping the White on White Look!!!!!!!! The Rota Torque's come in White but only in 17" so i spoke to the guy's over at Wheeldudes.com and they can oeder a set of 18x8 in white. But if the wait time is too long im just gonna get the Hyper Black's and have a friend of mine at the body shop powder coat them SuperWhite. Im thinking the 225-45 Would be the best way to go for everyday driveing.

225/45 is what I'll be going with as well, for the reasons I stated above.

If the wait's not too long, just get them from Rota. If the factory finish is paint, you'll have to get them stripped before powder coating. All that is just going to cost more $$, which defeats the purpose of getting an economical wheel. Heck, you've waited this long and it's almost winter. These would be good for spring install, if you can stand the wait.
