Im just asking a question, and to tell you the truth im against fake wheels but if your 16 and tight on a budget, you don't really have a choice. this is just for research purpose only too. I want to know which wheels you know have better craftsmanship, Drag or Rota. I want get some dr-31's or Torques. i know, "Fake Wheels" but to tell you the truth if i had the money i would get some work cr kai's or Enkei rpf1's in a heartbeat no questions asked.

the only reason people get real wheels is so they can spit in the faces of the people who cant get them IMO. It reminds me a lot of when I was in school and obsessing about having to get the cool skater shoes that cost a thousand times then they were actually worth. Get wheels that look nice on your car dont worry about getting gram lights becuase they're for racing and I doubt you're going to go racing the loaf of bread lol.

i agree your driving an xb not a race car u dont need expensive name brand wheels to drive around daily.
the fake wheels will look just as good i say save your money and when u can actually afford to blow 1500 on wheels then go for it.
between your 2 choices id say the rotas r available in more sizes and offsets than the drag wheels. dont let the wheel ****** put u down my friend.

Well IMHO, wheel companies such as Drag, Rota, and XXR have been in the business now for a while and they know how to make a wheel that does the job well and does the job safely.
I honestly do not consider Drag, Rota, and XXR as a low quality company anymore. There are plenty other no name wheel companies that make absolute ____ products which I would stay away from, but the companies you named would be a good safe bet for a daily driven vehicle.
I've owned many different wheels in my driving career. I driven on Enkei's, BBS's, to Konig's, TSW's, Rays, and now have ordered my first set of XXR's as you know.
I was seriously looking at the Drag DR-31's that you are questioning. I wanted them, but the XXR's price are just too good to pass by, plus the offsets that XXR has on their newer wheels are more of what I'm looking at.
You say you're on a budget, then ask yourself this...Do you really wanna invest in $1400-$2000 rims on a daily driver and have the risk of damaging them or ruining them, or spend $500-$700 on a quality look-a-like rim and not feel bad as bad when you curb them? I consider myself a careful driver, but I've had 2 rims repaired in the last 4 years...one was from when a drunk driver t-boned me in a parking lot and another from when I hit the mother of all potholes on my way home from work. Point being, no matter how much attention you pay to the road, if your rims are daily driven, accident's happen and eventually your wheels will get scuffed, scratched, bent, etc...
I know some of the guys on the forums will swear by the "real" wheels, and that's fine. You better believe that if I had a track dedicated car used for actual racing, I would not have anything but proven racing wheels like Volks, Rays, or Enkei's... But unless you'll be doing 40 laps of ***** to the wall racing at Road Atlanta or Laguna Seca you'll be fine with Drag or Rota's on your xB...
But to answer your original question, I like the Drag DR-31's more than the Rota's due to the options of width and offset and price that the Drag's have. Or shop around and find a good set of used high quality rims like Enkei's or Volks off of different forums. Memoryfab.com, rbwheels.com, zilvia.net, and wrongfitmentcrew.com are some good places to look for some quality rims if you have the time and funds to look. And of all the rims I've ever bought, the XXR's I've ordered are the first rims that I've ever bought brand spankin' new so I've been able to find some good deals on the web before.
So I hope this helped, and in the end fake wheels or real wheels, as long as you think they look good and you like them, then that is all that should matter!

Like anything else you get what you pay for...i would suggest looking at vrwheels.com or memoryfab.com for a set of quality used wheels.
I was going to buy a set of used work or ssr but instead I got my wheels new online for half of what discount tire wanted ($600 per wheel).

Thanks for the help guys, so whichever brand i choose would be good? it really will be just a daily driver, lol, although the auto x's seem fun, i think it would be too tight for the xb to handle xD
omg i want new wheels already! LMAO!
if i get some dr31 or torques, what color would go nice, thinking around a gunmetal color, i also want white too though xD

Drag and Rota are both fine wheels, I hope you enjoy whatever you get.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain drag makes "knock off" versions of rotas. IE: rota torque/drag Dr31.
(I'm personally in LOVE with white rota torques...very strongly considering getting a set in16" for my classic silver box).

16s will be a bit small, but you get to keep your tires and the ride comfort, I want to get 18's, 17's are like the perfect medium, it's a good looking side and you get a nice comfy sidewalk. Bit the tires for 17's are more expensive.

Rota torques and Drag DR31 are both knock offs of the Work Emotion CR-Kai's

I've waited 2 1/2 years to put wheels on my '09 xB. I must have changed my mind 6 or 7 times before I finally settled on a set of wheels (CIONIDE can confirm that). I am getting my wheels mounted tomorrow. I ended up going with Enkei J10's. Like you, I wanted to get RPF-1's, but the price and look of the J10's was too good to pass up. Anyway, what I am getting at is to take your time and have some patience; as you will be rewarded. So, take your time, ask questions, and keep doing your wheel homework.
Oh yeah...I like the Drag better
Good luck,
Slugo
