Think so?? Hmm. I was thinking between either these or the Axis Penta's. I know the Enkei's are a "better built" wheel... and they're cheaper than the Axis. However the Axis sure would make the box look fantastic if you ask me.

GAH, I don't know what to do!!!

I suggest the pentas, they are nearly identical to my wheels, which I feel look spectacular on the xB.

Even though I completely agree with you guys on the Pentas being absolutely sexy, I think I'll probably end up going with the RP03's. I can get them w/ tires mounted & balanced for close to $500 less than the Axis's. I don't think I can justify the extra $500 for "bling".

Just FYI, my Azul Speedmesh rims seen above were $875, with tires mounted and balanced, centering rings, and spline-drive lugnuts, shipped.

They weigh roughly 23.3 lbs. The stock steelies weigh ~22lbs.

Went ahead and ordered the Enkei's w/ BFG SuperSport AS 225/40/15. Wheels are 18x8 with a 40mm offset.

Thanks for the advice guys, but I couldn't justify the extra hundreds of dollars for the Axis.

Bigfieroman, when are you going to drop that box!?!

What ever happened to you getting the Eibach springs?

I'm finally getting my Tanabe's installed next Saturday.

That is an old pic, but I am getting the springs for my birthday on the 6th...I am still waiting on the TRD shocks/struts (got an UNBELIVABLE deal on ebay) and the TRD strut brace from Carson Toyota. I also have the Hotchkis swaybars sitting next to my bed waiting for the upgrade; I am going to do it all in one day o' suspension work.

Wow! Springs, shocks/struts, brace, and front & rear sways all in one sitting... talk about turning your xB from a hot wheel into a slot car overnight. But I'm guessing you'll have to wait until spring to throw the 18's back on and really experience the handling.

Yeah, I was thinking about how it will suck on the snow tires, but it will be better than it is now at least.

I was just going to do the springs ($204 shipped) and the swaybars ($279 shipped) for now, since I got good deals, and pick up some shocks/struts and a brace later...but then a good deal came along on the TRD brace and I got the deal of the century on the TRD shocks/struts ($300 shipped, dealer cost is $375!). As such, I am just going to blow it all out next weekend.

Bigfieroman,

What size are those Azuls? And are you able to disclose your source for these? I'm looking for that style myself.

They're 18x8 with 40 offset and here's a couple of sources:

http://www.1010tires.com/wheelsearch.asp?brand=Azul

http://www.wheelfire.com/scontent/Wh...mageField.y=21

Keep in mind that if you buy a tire and wheel package already mounted and balanced,
they won't have the TPMS sensors, and your dash light will be on.

They are 18X8 40mm offset.

I paid $875 out the door for wheels with tires mounted and balanced, chrome spline lugs, centering rings, and shipping. I got it all from Wheels 1.

You can get that all with a super crappy tire (Wanli, chinese made) for $799 shipped from Wheels 1. I paid extra for Nexen N3000, which are Korean and something on the level of Kumho. Better tires go up from there. The Nexens are good, they ride well enough and handle OK, they only big problem is the lack of a rim protector. I DO NOT recommend the Wanlis...I have heard scary things about them.

As for Wheels 1:
Call them at 1-800-791-8345
Ask for OZZY. Tell him Christian sent you.

There were some problems though. They sent the wrong centering rings, but he now knows what size the 2008 xB needs. Also, they sent 1 lugnut with with wrong thread. 19 were perfect, one was wrong. He sent the correct rings and a new lug once I called and pointed out the problem. Also, although they came "mounted and balanced", they did cause a wobble at 80 mph, and every tire needed rebalanced.
