Default Help 08 XB with 20's fronts rubbing

Need some help with my wife's 08 Xb. Purchase used and it had KMC 20's on it with 245/35-20 rubber.

Problem is that the tires rub the inner fenders when cranking the wheel all the way over. also they will bottom out if a severe dip or bump is driven over. So much so that my left front fedner is pushed out slightly from the tire hitting it one time and the paint has split. Before I fix the fender I need to do something with the front tires.

I am thinking I need to go 225/30-20's on the front.

Any advice would be appreciated.

You didn't give the width or offset of the wheels, but 225/30-20 is much more appropriate for the xB2 than 245/35-20 which is almost 2" larger in diameter than the OEM tires.

What are you lowered on?

I have no idea as to the width or offset of the wheels as they were on it when we purchased the car. It is not lowered.

Pull one of the rims off and look on the backside of it. most rims have the offset and width stamped on the backside.

Great advice. 20's look terrible on the XB, not to mention the weight, ____ty ride, weak brakes, etc. 18's for show and 17's for go!
