Default help with selecting a tire size foe new 20's

hi guys,
im new to the site.i just orderd a new 2010 xb in white for my wife.
im having the dealer install the trd springs and im dropping of a set of 20" to put on at the end of the month when the car arrives at the dealer.
the wheel size is 20x8 42 offset and 6.15 back spacing.
will i have any rubbing issue with this size.
also, what size tie should i run. i dont want any tire gap with the car.
i was thinking 235/35/20?
but i dont know much about this, so please any info would be great!

ps. if the trd spring wont take out the wheel well gap, what do you recommend.

Ahem.

I believe I'll start things off by summoning CIONIDE to your rescue.

I love your wheel choice. If that was for my girl, she'd be all over those because it's got a star on it.

235/35-20 tires are about 1.5" larger in diameter than stock. If you want to run a 35 series tire to help fill out more of the tire-to-fender gap and soften the ride, I'd suggest going with 225/35 to minimize the chance of rubbing up front. Ideally, 235/30 would be the size to go with, but you'll have less sidewall height resulting in a little stiffer ride and a bit more gap.

Oh, and watch out for potholes with those 20's.

Found an old thread with somebody running 20x8.5 +38 on Eibach Pro-Kit springs with 235/35 tires. I wouldn't have thought so, but this would suggest that you'll be fine with 235/35 tires on TRD springs (same front drop as Pro-Kit, and TRD's have about 1/4" more drop in back). Take a look and see what you think about the gap, remember TRD rear will be 1/4" lower than these pics.
