Default I want to stay on 16's......

so, i'm planning on purchasing a new xb next month and trading in my xa (i'm gonna miss her. ) so, i figure i'll start looking for rims now, only i really want to ride on 16's. i know they're small, but for the look i plan to go for, i think i can pull it off. i'm looking for 16's with a lot of lip and as low an offset as possible without having the wheel stick out. and yes, i will be running the stock tires. if anyone has any suggestions, pics, anything at all, i'd really appreciate the help. i'm having a hard time finding anything with any lip.

My brother went with Kong 16"s on his. They don't look to bad. I'll try to snap some pics for you. Do a search on MB wheels in this forum, I forget the posters name but someone else did a set of 16"s in teal.

i'm sure i'll like the look, but finding a wheel i like has been a real chore. every wheel i like at looks lame to me, but i guess it's because of the style i want. wide with a lot of lip. i keep searching but just can't find anything.

lookin good. kind of what i'm looking for, but i really want to go extreme. really low on some stretched 16's and a ton of lip. 3 inches is the minimum i'll accept. i'm basically trying to go for what was done on the older xb's.

i live in miami and everyone wants to go bigger and bigger so if i want my car to stand out, i'll just go lower and wider. thanks for the pics though. nice color choice btw.

you should ask some of the guys from vwvortex.com about their wheel fitments...those guys do exactly what you are looking for...check out www.tunershop.de for wheels...all kinds of low offset wheels in smaller diameters..

they probably wont offer anything specifically for the xb, as the company is located in europe. youll just have to tell them the bolt pattern and hub bore....youll just need to kmknow the lowest offset you could use....

Found these on ebay 319$ - shipping. 0 offset might be an issue though.

those wheels would be next to impossible to use on the new xb. they're tough on the 1st gen. i'm trying to keep the wheels at a +35 offset to avoid any real problems.
