Default New Owner / newbie and a couple of questions for the 5axis

Hi all, I am a proud new owner of the Super white. It took me an hour to decide on the BSP and the SW and I had to ask opinion from my better half while we were at the dealer. Part of the influence was the 5 axis edition. I might need some expert advice.

One of the reasons that I bought this color is because of the 5 axis lip kit and 19X8.5 S5:F wheels. I've read that the TRD springs should be used to avoid rubbing. I'll be using this for my daily 90-mile commute and occasionally have 2 or 3 passengers in the back. Most of the time, I see people are using the NF210s more than the TRD. I really wanted the lip kit so removing it is not an option, although I don't know how bad is it going to affect the rubbing issues.

My question is..

1. If I partner the 5axis with NF210s, will it cause problems in terms of rubbing? Is it going to rub if I have 2 or 3 average size people in the back? Or do you think I'll be better of with the TRD springs?

2. Will the S5:F wheels rub? Or should I use another brand?

3. My garage is a little bit angled so I don't know if the 5 axis lip kit / wheels combo will be a problem.

Thank you!

1. The 5Axis lip kit doesn't have anything to do with tire rubbing issues. The reason people go with the NF's is because of the nice mild drop and smooth compliant ride. If you want a bit stiffer ride with less body roll, then go with the TRD's.

2. S5:F 19x8.5 +45 offset, with 235/35-19 tires, will not rub with the NF springs or TRD.

3. The wheels won't present any problems, but since I don't know how steep your driveway/garage is, I have no way of knowing if the lip kit might scrape.

Here's why so many people go with the NF210's:

BTW, 90 miles is a suck commute. If it's mostly highway, I'd go with the NF's; if it's twisty mountain roads, I'd say the TRD springs.

Thanks CIONIDE for your wisdom. What about if I have 19X8 42 offset on TRDs? on NF210s? Is the ride better for tires 235/35/19s good or 225? Any help is good!

19x8 +42 will work fine with either 225/35 or 235/35 tires, on both TRD and NF springs. Take your pick.

thanks again CIONIDE. Would you be able to tell me what kind of ride comfort for TRD / NF210 springs with 235/35/19 wheels? Is 18 better?

If you're looking for comfort, I'd go with the NF springs & 18" wheels & tires... in fact, that's exactly what I'll be doing when I get wheels.

19's look great, but I spend way too much time driving on fwy expansion joints to go with anything larger than 18's.
