new wheels and treads!

Cionide: Don't mean to hijack this but you do seem to be the goto guy on technical wheel fitment questions. If I wanted a similar flushness to the fender as BlackBox08 has up front but had 18x8 what would my offset have to be compared to his 17x7 +38? I believe the rim width does affect the offset measurement. right?

You would want 18x8 +50 in order to be the same when it comes to how flush the lip of the wheel is with the fenders as compared to 17x7 +38.
18x8 +45 would be out toward the fender 1/5" more.
18x8 +40 would be out toward the fender 2/5" more.
18x8 +38 would be out toward the fender 1/2" more (the 1" difference split in half).
If you followed all that, then you should now be able to compare & calculate offset vs. wheel width.

Nice Blackbox, I'm doing something very similar with mine
What are you doing about a spare tire / donut?
Are the 17's close enough to stock to use the regular spare, or did you have to go get a new one?

235/45-17 is only a little bit larger in diameter than the stock 205/55-16's,
and it's also smaller in diameter than the TRD 19" optional wheels & tires;
you just use the stock donut spare if you need it, no problems.
