Painted my calipers today.. Used G2 Caliper Paint System. Cant put my wheels back on just yet, instructions tell you to wait, but I'll be posting up some pics tomorrow.

@Dark_Gecko: Yeah, you better get those pics up here right away. I'd love it if you would make a DIY for ScionLife.

If it looks really good, I might join you and paint my calipers yellow to match my setup.

As promised here are my 18's with painted calipers. Not the greatest pics and my box is a little dirty but thats all I got right now, so please excuse the dirt and quality. As far as a DIY goes, it couldnt be simplier.. I used G2 Caliper Paint, just put your car up on blocks, remove your wheels, use a wire brush and the provided brake clean to clean the calipers and then get to painting, no need to remove the calipers.. BTW G2 will never fade or chip, and if it does they'll give you a full refund! And now the pictures, hope you like em, I know I do!

@YELOSUB: Wow, bravo! That looks so fantastic on your xD!!

@Dark_Gecko: That looks absolutely amazing! I sincerely hope you're matching that green to something else on your box! There's a cool thread on here about someone who baked their headlights and painted the housing green! I think that would look awesome to accent your calipers!

Yep, I'm definitely going to be painting mine yellow! I'll have to do this during the summer!

Does Lowe's or Autozone carry G2 Caliper paint?

Thanks, glad to help you decide to paint em, I think yellow would be a very nice compliment to your wheels. As far as me paint matching my calipers with my xB if you look closely in the pic with my hood open you will see that my engine bay is painted lime green, not an exact match, hell not even close, but still green lol. The inside of my car is also the same green as under my hood, I wanted my calipers darker though and I heard great things about G2. Im not sure that you can buy the paint in stores, but heres a link to the G2usa website, its where I got mine. Im looking forward to seeing pics of your setup when your finished!

I figured it would be just way too much yellow, but now that I think about it, it would look pretty awesome to have yellow calipers.

I hadn't noticed your bay was painted. The color matching with your calipers is terrible! lol I also noticed you blacked out your headlights! I think it'd look sweeter if you greened them out with the same tone as your caliper paint.

Here's a picture of Rasec29's greened out headlights:

I think that concept would look great on your box!

It is a terrible match.

My headlights arent actually blacked out. They are aftermarket Eagle Eyes Dual Halo Projectors, wouldnt want to crack em open, Id ruin em... Though I do like the look and if I were to ever take out my lights and go back to stock I probably would paint them..

How did you change the headlight color the bulb or tinted the outside green just wondering? I know I am not posting rims but was wondering how you did it and if they are bulbs which ones?

What? No LOL??!!

They're actually not from my box. I will be doing something similar with mine, but I'll be painting them yellow.

Rasec29 just greened out his headlights. Baked them open and painted them green rather than the traditional black.

Thanks a lot man. Have you guys noticed how much the car lowers with just 2 passengers? When taking pictures, I always wish it sat a tad bit lower, but when I see my wife drive off with it, the drop looks perfect.

Either way, I got some 15mm spacers coming my way that I'm going to slap in the rear.

Haha yea I have noticed that. I have 4 tires just chillin' in the back of my car 'cause my tires were slashed over this past weekend so I had to get new tires and keep the old ones for the appraiser. Now I just gotta get rid of them, but I love the way it makes my car look lower than normal!! lol
