Default Okay, I think I in the right direction but.....

I was looking for some cheap wheels to put on Xb for a short time. I kind of know what wheels I really want, but I wanna lower it first and between trying to remodel the house and fix up the ride, the ride loses out when it comes to trying to lower and do wheels at the same time. I have found some used 17 inch TC wheels, and I know the bolt pattern is 5 X 100 and the offset of the wheels are 45. But would I be able to make it work with an adapter from this site: http://adaptitusa.com/index.asp?Page...ROD&ProdID=171 ?

first i dont know this brand you show but i trust ichiba or project kics. they have tried and true quality. but i dont know if they make 5x114 to 5x100 adapters.

second with a wheel adapter to tC wheels the effective size/offset of the wheel will be 17x7.5 +20 (assuming the thickness is about 25mm/1inch) if you run the stock tire size from the tC you will for sure rub and poke a little bit of tire (about 10-15mm) in the front. it will poke a little in the rear (about 5mm). if you are lowered i would say run some narrower tires for a stretch for a bit of clearance and roll the fenders.

otherwise get something else. i suggest find some inexpensive wheels on tire rack, discount tire, etc. or some used wheels on this site. if you want to stay as inexpensive as possible get some 16s up to 8 wide and run the tires from the stock steels.
