Thanks CHRISLBZ.. How would I go about doing that? Since I moved to AZ from OH, I am at a loss for tools. I have have had to pay Disount tires to install everything so far.. Funny enough my name is chris too, lol, must be something in the name.

Hey SNAZZY I don't know if this is what your looking for but you can either spring for the white walls tires that cost around $200 a tire plus a hundo in shipping at http://www.widewhitewalltires.com/index.htm or you can get port-o-walls like I and Chrislbz did. They ony cost about $20 a pop and work fine. Then get some trim rings and some sort of lug nut or center cap cover I got the port-o-walls spider cap cover and trim rings at mooneyes.com.CHRISLBZwhere did you get the bullet caps and Napa cneter cap chromed?

Griff, i guess you can go back to discount tire and have them remove them and out put in regular valve stems. You will have that little flat tire icon lit on the dash but you can have that removed if you change the dash LED's. I would do it for ya but they won't let me bring in another car into the auction. Maybe it might be easier to dremel out the ring but then you still have the ugly TPMS valve stems. Good luck! Keep me informed

Thanks, Griff. To summarize this steelie mod for folks, it's a NAPA grease cap (part# 730-2411), trim rings from a place like mooneyes.com, and a dremel tool or new, non-TPMS valve stems. Oh, and chrome lug nuts too. I tried to do the old school look when I forst got my xB in 11/07 ... maybe with this info I can try again and make it happen!

for the 08 xb its 4½" bolt pattern. you can also get them at http://www.hubcapmike.com/ and he has a pic of em on 08 xB as well as several other vehicles. But I got crappy service from him so I went to mooneyes

Yeah I wish it was that easy. the moon has to attach to a nub on the rim and our steelies just don't have it. I saw someone put them on just for a photo and they looked kinda funny because they stick out way to much. we would have to find some way to attach the moon inside the center ring and be able to remove it to take the lugs off.
The first person to come up with a good way to mount these will be a hero!

actually the NAPA dust cap is part# 730-2417. the '2411' is the 1st gen xB, which will be too small for the 2nd gen
