Default quick Rim question

I just bought a set of Axis Gravity rims 18x9 with a +40 offset.
If I put these on will the rim go past the fender, and is there absolutely no way that a 18x9 will not fit the front end

I haven't seen anybody pull off 18x9 on the front. I wouldn't try it.

You bought rims before even confirming that they would fit?

If you must have Axis Gravity wheels, then you need to send them back and get the 18x8 +35 offset.

If you're OK with staggered, then keep the 18x9 +40's for the rear (they're fine); but you need to drop to 18x8 for the front.

The Rims were a gift. The person who bought them was told they would fit. I guess I should just shine away from the nines. Thanks for your help I trust you veterans.

Like I said, the 18x9 +40's will work fine on the rears if you're OK with going staggered and not being able to rotate your tires. All you have to do is swap the fronts for the 18x8 and you'll be fine..

If you want all 4 the same, and to be able to rotate, then you need to drop down to the 18x8 +35 all around.

BTW, anybody who gifts you Axis wheels is a great person, even if they didn't know everything about fitment.
