I blew out a tire a couple months ago and bent the rim of the wheel on my 2008 Scion xB. Now the steering wheel shimmies/wobbles a bit - I keep the tires rotated and balanced, but the wobble is still there. The mechanic says I need a new rim to fix the problem.

My local Scion boutique wants about $200.00 for this thing (plus whatever labor to install it I assume). Can I get one online somewhere cheaper?

Check your local CraigsList. I recently sold all 4 of my OEM steelies and hubcaps from the 2008 xB that I traded in for only $120.

According to TRDsparks the MSRP is $149.55, and they sell it for $115.15 online.

Also look to see if Toyota Corolla's use the same type of steel wheel. You can definitely find a much better deal than $200, but you'll just have to hunt for it.

Check out your local rim shops. Ask if they have any take-offs latin around. I picked up a full set of charger 17" steelies for $20
