Default Think this will work?

I am thinking of going with 17X8.5 XXR 518 wheels with 48MM offset with 255/40/17 tires all the way around. I am using NF210 springs. What do you all think of this possible combo?

No problem in the rear, but that seems like a pretty darn wide tire to have up front. I would guess rubbing up front over bumps & dips, but the only way to know for sure is to try it out.

I know what you mean Cionide. I love to push it to the max with tire size and I have been calculating this fitment for a while. I was actually just looking for someone like yourself to tell me to go for it before I break out the old credit card.

Now you are a little smaller of a rim then my wheels were but I ran a 245/45/18 in the front and I had a decent amount of rubbing but was only on turns, just don't expect to lower the car then either. BTW 245/45/18 is not what I run in teh front anymore those were just a old set of rims I had.

Just to let you know why I said to expect rubbing...
Another SL member on this site with NF springs went with 8.5" wide +35 offset wheels and 235 wide tires, and he rubbed up front. The +48 offset is set in 1/2" more, but the 255 tires are 1/2" closer to the fenders, so it's a wash. You really should go with 245/40-17 or 235/45-17 tires if you don't want any rubbing. 245/40 will give you wide meat, but be smaller diameter with more tire/fender gap; and 235/45 will have less width but fill out the gap a little more. Fender rolling is also an option if you absolutely feel the need to go 255/40.
