Default Which wheel

I can't decide on which wheel to get, I am stuck between the 16x7 +38 XXR 002 or a 16x7 +40 rota jmag. They are basically the same price and I have to wait until tomorrow to call and make sure they are in stock/available. I will also be going with NF210 springs, really trying to keep a smooth ride with a mild drop.
I am also thinking about the Drag dr-16 in black 16x7 +40 which I can get for $390 shipped (they have 3 wheels need to call tomorrow and see if they can get a 4th).

I like the way they look and I don't want anything bigger than a 16" right now.

Almost what he said... "choose" whichever u like.

FWIW, I don't like 10 hole wheels so I would drop the XXR's out of the running, but that's just me. Get whatever makes you happy.

Those are the only wheel my wife liked, I am really leaning towards the rotas but I like the price of the dr-16's. I guess when I make the calls to see what is actually available that will help me decide.

By the time you add in mounting, balancing, TPMS rebuild kit (new gaskets & washers) and lug nuts, the additional $88 for the J-mags over the DR-16s doesn't seem like much to get the wheel you like better.

The J-mags are $665 shipped, the dr-16's are $390 shipped. I never had a car with TPMS before but I probably won't be putting them on right away anyway. The shop mounting them should have the gaskets and washers right?

I was just looking at the prices in the OP links, I forgot you had that $390 quote. My bad. Just call the shop and make sure they either have the TPMS rebuild kit in stock, or order it for you. When America's Tire Co. did mine it was $28 for the rebuild kit and no charge for the TPMS swap to the new wheels. I also paid $45 for the spline drive conical seat tuner lugs, $60 for the mount & balance, and $11 in miscellaneous tire & environmental fees.

I will be buying lugs unless I get the dr's which come with lugs. The place I go to is like $15 per wheel to mount and balance but I will call them before to make sure they have the stuff and see how much.

You're married right? And the wife wanted the XXR? Ha ha, I'm pretty sure you know what you need to do at this point! lol

I'd say go between the XXR and the Rota. The benefit of the former is that both you and your wife like it. The benefit of the Rota is that typically Rota wheels are pretty lightweight. 16" is a great size. I'm about to downgrade from 18s to 16s for more ride comfort, since I have a bad back.

I called around today and only one place has any and it's the rota. The XXR's are sold out everywhere I looked/called. I really want to get the Rotas but I only have like $520 in my paypal and they were $660 shipped. I would take it from my bank but I just paid $200 to get my replacement iphone(3 week old 4s dropped in the crapper) and she would probably shoot me. They put a 24 hour hold on the wheels for me incase I get the ***** at some point....sleeping on the couch is a lot like camping anyway right?? We'll see though becasue then I need lugs, springs and mount/balance.

I haven't ordered anything yet. I'm going to wait and get wheels and springs at the same time. Plus out of the wheels I like only one style was available so I am still searching to see what is out there.

Cool

When you get them Discount Tires does wonders for the mount & balance w/TPMS. about $16-20 per tires total. Keep us updated! Tell you're wife the car needs new shoes soon!
