Default Winter Momo wheel @ discounttiredirect.com

For this snow season we asked Momo to build us a durable/ affordable alloy wheel for winter use. We're proud to tell you it arrived today. Available sizes for the New xB:

15x6.5 5x114.3 40ET Powder Coated Silver $89.00 each
16x6.5 5x114.3 40ET, or 45ET Powder Coated Silver $99.00 each
17x7 5x114.3 35ET, or 45ET Powder Coated Silver $105.00 each

What makes this wheel awesome for the winter? As stated above it comes in a Powder Coat finish that is very resistant to chips and stains. It also has been designed with a slightly concave face to reduce impact when using chains and its simple five spoke design is easy to keep clean. Who says you have to run steel wheels with your snow tires?

You should be able to find it online by tomorrow. 1.888.459.4080 FYI Once our stock is gone, It will be gone until next winter.

Interesting that 15" wheels clear the calipers. If they do, these wheels would be a perfect option for someone trying to soften the ride and get better gas mileage.

A 195/65-15 would fit perfectly on the 15X6.5 version, and are REALLY close to the stock OD.

Can you confirm the 15" wheels fit over the brakes? (Feel free to send me a set with snow tires, I will let you know if they fit... ;) )

These wheels have excellent brake clearance. I haven't personally fit them on a new xB but the specs look pretty good for it, If anyone is interested in a set we can gladly send them out and if they don't fit we will pay for the shipping back.

Tell you what; if you want, you can send me one of the 15" rims (no tire necessary) and I will test fit it front and rear. Just include a pre-paid return label. I will pack it back in the original box and send it back. You would not be able to sell the wheel as new, but I know there are people out there that would appreciate a 15" wheel which is confirmed to fit.

I like these, and not only see them as a good winter wheel, but a good alternative to steelies. How would I go about getting a set?

They look identical to the old sentra spec v rims. Not too bad, but a little plain for my liking.

It's great to have a wheel and tire retailer as part of the forum. On other sites, I've found their advice invaluable.

On winter season, I tried doing the tire swap (using the same stock rims) and it was inconvenient and expensive. Going with separate rims was far easier and after 3 years, the cost was recouped. These wheels look to be a great alternative to steelies.

^^^ You can order them online at www.discounttiredirect.com or you can call us up at 1.888459.4080.

In the winter months most of you will see some heavy weather and quite a bit of it. A detailed design is a pain in the neck to keep clean in the summer, as it is, in the winter its even worse. Momo kept the design simple so as to make upkeep painless.

Man, I really like those.

I'm running Slipstreams right now, and totally thinking about switching to these.

A piece of electrical tape is cheaper than TPMS sensors. Plus, to my understanding, you'll have to reprogram the compruter to know that you're using different sensors. You'll have to do it every season you swap wheels/tires.

You have a couple options when it comes to sensors.

1. You can choose to run without the sensors in the winter. I don't know about you but last thing I want to do is have a blowout when its 15 degrees out when it possibly could have been avoided.

2. Swap your existing sensors. This can cost up to $80.00 to swap your TPMS into your new wheels and you will have to do it twice a year. Your TPMS will function correctly.

3. Purchase new sensors. No swapping required. You will need to have the sensors programed. This will cost you the initial cost of the extra sensors but after that our stores will reset your sensors for next to nothing. If you purchase the sensors through them they may even do it for you for free. Call your local store, different locations may vary.

TPMS is a safety system not unlike your seat belt. It is designed to keep you, your family and your friends safe.
