Default Mud flaps

Has anyone come up with anything for rear mudflaps for their xD? With the short overhang in the rear there seems to be an awful lot of buildup on the rear glass.

short overhang mean lots of water kickup to keep the tailgaters away. or snow kickup is even better

I am using large Rally Armor flaps. They are not helping keep my rear window clean.

Jonas, did you have any problems installing the universal flaps? A buddy of mine has these on his subaru, they look good but I'm concerned about the mounting, especially in the rear, since there's only two pop fasteners back there.

after looking at both products today, i ordered the TRD ones, i hope nothing changed between the '08 and the '10 models, or im screwed. they look cleaner, and are hopefully bolt on, versus the measuring and guessing method involved in using a universial product.

There are no set places to mount them and no templates to go by. You would have to set them up by eye. It took me about an hour to get them mounted straight. I have had experience mounting universal flaps on other cars before so someone with less experience may take longer to mount them.

x2 on the Rally Armour Mudflaps.

Some guess work to set up, lifted the rear end evenly on both sides, then eyed them while my wife held them in place. Just used some self tappers from ace to mount them.

Noticeably more crap gets on the rear end, but when that happens, the whole car usually still needs a wash so it doesn't bother me.

Nice Bobielon. Yeah it was a pain to line them up. I may pick up the urethane ones just because the cheap plastic ones are getting a bit disformed but they are still holding up good after a year of use.

OMG, I am istalling a carbon hood in a few days!! JK, but we must be related somehow. If we were not on opposite sides of the country we would have to meet up for a photoshoot!

been considering these. questions:

1. any long-term reviews? state how long, months, etc.
2. so having these will actually INCREASE debris getting on the rear of the car???
there is no snow where i live so i guess the benefit will just be cosmetic...

I've had mine on for almost a year and they look like they did when I got them. Except some jerkoff ripped one of them off, plus I lowered the car, so now I just have the rear flaps on. I wouldn't have enough clearance when i turn if I had the front ones on. They definitely help keep debris off the back though. And the front ones keep debris off the sides.
