Default 2009 Scion xD Replacement Battery-What to Buy?

I have a 2009 Scion xD, my original Panasonic battery crapped out and I need a replacement. I took my car to Walmart to confirm it was my battery and indeed it was....the mechanic looked up the battery I need and it was the EverStart 35/5 ($99.97)....however the battery is about 2 inches taller then my original and the clamp that holds the battery in place will not clamp down and also my cables are to short to reach on top of the battery to hook ...Has anyone else experiences this problem or has gotten a replacement battery somewhere else besides the Toyota dealership? if so, please share this helpful information to me and others that may be experiencing the same...Thanks!!!

you can't be more knowledgeable when the only battery you can install is what the everstart book is telling the technician. but, autozone, oreillys, napa. they all sell batteries. try there before going to the dealer. unless your dealer is having a ridiculous sale on batteries..

Thank you all for your replies. I went to O'Reilly and was able to buy the Super Start Extreme battery 35EXT with the 3 year warranty, free replacement and it fit perfect

I must say though that every walmart battery i've ever bought has been fantastic though. Even the ones for lawn tractors.
