Fujita Air Intake

Not sure how much of the price you will be able to shave off the current sale price. The Yaris intake it's been out for over a year and the best price you can get on line is $195.
Concidering you receive an oil cap... this seems like a good deal. Out of the Intake manufacturers big names (AEM,TRD,INJEN)... Fujita is the cheapest. I know the other brands don't have options for the xd but when they do... you can bet it would be more expensive than the fujita.

Intake Installed
Sounds better I think it starts out in first better and pulls a little better but it is only a couple of ponies more. I think it will sound and pull better when I get an upgraded exhaust.

The filter sits under the headlight in a big hole. I don't think there is much cold fresh air in there. If there is such a thing as cold air in AZ.
I am considering drilling a couple of holes in the front of the body kit in the fake intake scoops because the filter sits right behind them. But I have to think about that for a bit, before I commit to it.

lol I was considering the same. Definately would be easier on a stock xD. Worse case though, you should be able to take a small chunk out on the mud guard on the bottom and maybe put on some stripping on the edge of it to drag in some air.

I've been thinking about that too, right after I put my CAI in. I wouldn't know how big to make the holes - I wouldn't want to make them very conspicuous. Maybe a grid of small holes - quantity over quality? How would that be affected by rain?

Is there any chance water getting to the filter due to its location and is the Fujita filer washable like a K&N? Just wondering if this is the system for me with a few others comming out soon. Last question is how does it make the motor sound?

As far as the sound goes I think it sounds great I had my foot in it all day because I like the new sound and I do think it pulls better, it is even more fun to drive. My wife kept giving me the eye like what are you doing but she didn't say much, So far she dosn't even know I bought it yet. If I keep it up I am going to get busted.
