looks fishy to me, aFe doesnt have this listed on their website.... no pictures, and all of the comments/reviews are from other vehicles.

You get what you pay for, remember that.

And so what if you're getting beat by Civics? Don't race, its that simple.

^^ And attitudes like this are why the tC is one of the most expensive vehicles to insure...

Be happy that you're not a civic-driving poser.

Don’t waste your time or effort racing anyone in our car you will just be disappointed. And CAI isn’t not going to help save your pennies for a turbo or nitrous. The only two things that will make a noticeable difference in our HP

this intake is legit.

http://www.afefilters.com/productrev...2/5411322.html

I have one and it's a pretty decent part. I have the dry filter one.

makes a nice sound and I have gotten better fuel economy since I got it. only about 2 mpg or so but it's something. installed easy and I actually bought it from autoanything.com.

I'm pretty happy with it.

Good to know.

AFE makes good stuff at affordable prices.

Can you please show some pictures for your intake?

And where did you get it from?

if you click the link in my last post there's pics there. that's the actual part. you use the stock MAS. the installed pic is pretty small. there was a pic in another post around here somewhere (not from me) but when I get a chance I can post some. I bought it from www.autoanything.com

they also sell it at http://www.optionsauto.com/

AFe makes great stuff... just because you can buy it on ebay doesn't automatically make it crap.

so this is still a SRI and not a CAI? the same thing can be accomplished for $25 and an autozone. id really like to see a nice, true CAI from injen or AEM.

it'a a short ram with the "cold air box" (the barier around the filter to section it off from the rest of the engine). you may think this is useless but I can tell you from experience, after driving at 70mph for an hour and a half I can pull my car in the garage, open the hood, and feel the intake pipe from the TB to the box, then the short pipe section immediately on the other side of the "cold air box". the pipe on the TB side it'll be fairly hot. Not untouchable but definately warm. The section after the barrier isn't even warm. it sounds crazy I know but believe me it works. they call it a cold air intake just like K&N does for nearly the same product. the pipe and barrier are metal also.

Yes but there is not much room in the engine bay in the first place. I would much rather run a true CAI than a SRI with a barrier around it.

The short rams look better IMO because they don't leave a huge empty space in the engine compartment. I also like having the filter in a place it's easily removed for cleaning (mainly because I have to do this often) it's all in what you're looking for.
