Anyway, I think I might just go with the full dynatek package Me and my friend are in the talks of either getting a RX8 or an IS300 to go all out on for the side.

my dad has an rx8 and loves it.
i would give you my preference but he doesnt let me drive it haha

yeah i wouldnt mind going full dynatek package, still waiting on the price for this header... idk how New York is, but in california its near impossible to find a well priced IS300 thats both stock and manual...unless youre not looking for one or either of the qualities...haha i think an is would be a fun platform to mess around with...
and to saw54, the underbrace will be for the front end, where we already have decent stability thanks to the front sway. however in the long run, it would make a good addition haha
anywho, any price quote yet? even an estimation would be nice

theres a few, but they range 14-20g. Whereas I can get a rx8 for 13g with like 30k miles on it easy
I would probably estimate the header running from $400-600

I believe the estimate for the Yaris Long tube header + Mid pipe was $599
Richard was working on the final pricing tough.
That price will included the header in Mild Steel and ceramic coated and the mid pipe that would bolt on to the OE axle back point. So it can be used with any choice of aftermarket axleback. I think he also mention that the Mid pipe would have an option of a highflow cat or a resonator.
Since the xD and Yaris exhaust are almost the same... I would guess that the xD option to be somewhere in that neighborhood.

can't beat possible 30 hp for $1500. people spend more for only 10-20 I'm sure someone out there is still going to say, "whats the point?" though

i feel dumb but whats the full dynatek package? but here in md, is300 or rx-8 are not too expensive. about 16k off of carmax, looking around 60k on a is300 and like 40 on a rx-8.

Well... so far there is no package. But what ZEFOXE is talking about is the 2 major bolt on parts that Richard Holdener ( DYNATEK) is working on for the Scion xD.
1) Intake Manifold
2) Long Tube Header

I believe is a fair deal indeed.
We have to remember that this are not massed production items fabricated on a factory with some degree of automation.
The is all low volume hand made stuff. On top of that, there are a lot of R&D hours behind the product.
I really don't think that Richard is making a huge of a profit.
We are lucky that Richard was doing all this research for his B-Segment Cars Book. And that he agreed to hook us up with production pieces of his prototypes.
I'm sure that some store could come up with the argument that they can make a manifold or a header for less money. I'm sure they can. But would they pay for all the dyno hrs needed just to find the best possible design? or would they just go by the theory and stick to what they think is best?
If I'm paying this much I sure want guaranteed results! That's why I'm pushing for all these parts to see the light. Because Richard is all about results.

It's good to know that there's someone out thee who's not in it for the money anymore, and is willing to do things right the first time, and create a good quality product to boot.
